Fair enough! And yes that's very true fighters primes vary. No doubt about it. I just feel Lewis wasn't as out of prime as some make him out to be when he fought Vitali judging by his dismantling of Tyson the fight before. But hey.. everyone has a right to their opinion. My apologies for getting heated earlier.

The guy who almost beat LL by decision, Mercer. The closest guy to him is Ali so yeah I think Ali if he fought LL 10 times would win a few of those bouts, especially over 15rds

I've often said around the Chagaev fight timeframe was prime Wlad. He was SHARP! Wladimir and Steward were an awesome team.

It is just something about that that makes it easy to be a target for attacks.

I cannot isolate it entirely but you come off as smug and condescending. You speak in absolute terms with a faux confidence that is grating beyond belief. It is so obvious that you have never trained a day in your life and would be the first one to run in any rough situation.

Hope that helps answer your question.

I have to do neuro-physiotherapy twice a day because of a long term illness I have (even though I am still relatively young). So no I don't know what it is to train as a fighter and can't put myself in that position, but I can relate in terms of improving myself from what was once a 'rough situation' as you put it.

I do appreciate your honesty and regret the trials you must face battling a medical condition. For what it is worth I hope your condition stabilizes or is managed appropriately and does not progress. I hope it goes away altogether, I have nothing against you personally.

I just noticed you have some extreme opinions that rubbed me wrong so I could not resist lashing out.

Mercer won 4 rds behind his ramrod jab, and Lewis underestimating it.

A rematch woulda been a domination by Lewis.

As for H2H vs Ali........depends if Ali had his Balco points like the rest of the 90s American HWs/ATHLETES in GENERAL had.

Ali with Balco behind him KO1s every HW in history up until the time he meets SHWs like Lewis, Vitali, Wlad, AJ, Parker etc, including young Tyson and prime Holmes.

However, the 190-210lb Ali is blasted out in 5-8 rds v Lewis 2/3 times. The last fight in the trilogy, sadly, Mrs Ali would be joining Mrs Abdusalamov in the waiting room while their husbands rehabiliate from their massive brain trauma.

NO VERSION OF ALI, LOUIS, MARCIANO, DEMPSEY, FRAZIER, etc etc etc beats Lewis or Vitali.

A handful of HWs thru history, like young hungry Tyson, prime Holmes, and maybe young murderous George(if his crude almost non existent lack of fundamentals), beat Wlad b/c unlike Lewis, Wlad doesnt have the coordination to use both the masterful offensive attack, while mindfully employing the jab and grab, and unlike Vitali, Wlad can't walk thru a MOAB UC, take a step back, then come forward with an LASER GUIDED SS-18 ICBM.

However, Americans have that never yielding strawman argument. The nostalgia of boxing history lends itself only to us Americans. While the rest of the world was froze out.

So.......guess ol Jess Willard would KO Wilder in a 1/2 rd, right after he went 34 rds knocking around Lewis.

Ali had much better movement than Mercer and would land his jab much better by getting in and out of range of the more mobile Lewis. Ali had a granite chin as well, and he had fantastic stamina especially in the later rounds.
I think over 15 rds Ali would beat LL on points a few times if they fought 10 times. I still think LL would win like 7-3 or something, but Ali has the movement and effective jab to stay out of harms reach and rack up the points.

Reasonable, but Norton is the closest fighter that Ali fought to Lewis, except Lewis, like the Klitsckos, had better power than the 225lb Foreman. As did Mercer for that matter, who very well may have a jab on par with Holmes or Wlad.
Ali's jab was a pt scoring jab and forced his opponent to reset.

That said.....Lewis's OH R and UC would likely make Ali wished he'd stayed out the game and let Joe take the whoppings.

Do you have articles about those NDA's regarding GF, BHOP/PAVLIK/PASCAL.

First I ever heard of that and it would be interesting to read into it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Solid Post.
