I just saw the replay right now, the shots were right to the belly button. He quit like a little girl, you seen the excuses he made post fight interview?

 

Belt line all day. The ref ponit blank stated where the punches are good. His belt was around his naval.

 

Some people get so emotionally invested in these fights man, I guarantee you the guys on the other side would be crying low blows if it was to their guy. That said low blows don't tell the entire story of the round, Kovalev was definitely fading/reeling and likely in danger of being stopped regardless.

 

No boxing card has ever made me doubt my own judgement like this stupid, God forsaken card. Glad it's done.
Regardless, I feel Ward would've stopped Kovalev by the next round even IF the shots were low (I thought only the very last was low) - Kovalev was quite simply done.

 

Kovalev was hurt and out on his feet from a HEAD SHOT.

People are talking about low blows, that's still up for debate, but those shots were not what put Kovalev in trouble in the first place.

Kovalev didn't react well, he was hurt, he looked like he was going to get stopped even before those "controversial" shots landed.

Ward was significantly the better guy on the night, the guy now needs to be ranked alongside Mayweather and Pacquaio.

I seen enough fights. He should have got a count at the least. I feel Ward was robbed as well, it was a kak way to win...

 

Yea, Kovalev didn't complain much with Kellerman. He knew he was in very bad shape. Totally different attitude compared to last time, postfight.

I still believe Weeks could've gone with a count before stopping it when he did (especially after all of the controversy surrounding the outcome of the first fight). There was a lot on the line tonight.

 

Kov was badly hurt by that right hand and was looking shaky for the 30 - 40 seconds before the bs stoppage. Ward has got away with dirty tactics again. Tony Weeks has messed up.
