Ward is a great fighter. Not a fan of his illegal tactics he gets away with but he is a smart fighter with something on his side with winning. He's not #1 P4P. He has an argument to be top 3. Gonzalez, Lomachenko and Crawford are ahead of him.

The last shot right with the stoppage was low for sure. Anyways horrible stoppage, we've seen boxers eating punches in the head for 2 minutes in the ropes and no stoppages, but this... This looked like staged as ****, I am seriously thinking of quiting. It doesn't bring me excitment anymore. Clinching should be banned, I hate to watch fights like this. Basicly for the whole fight it was Kovalev jabing Wards nose, everytime Ward felt his power he was going for the hug. I want to watch boxing, not wrestling. P4P number 1 , Ward??? No freaking way, amazingly ugly to watch. He would never have a huge fanbase or sell a fight in Europe. All theese Las Vegas bullshits are ****ing corrupted, I am so happy about what Hearn and UK does right now. Very good cards with fine judging. Same probably will happen with GGG vs Canelo. USA ruins the boxing and pretty soon I will stop watching it. What a pitty, I doubt it I will ever wake up again at 5 am to watch a shitshow like this.

Just wait till the film studies on CoWard's dirty tactics come out. You'll see a lot more dirty stuff than you realize. It's the same with so many of his fights.

Final thought of the night before I go to bed.
Bellew would give all sorts of problems to Ward.

Let's figure this out! If the belt is around the naval, any punch on the belt line is good.

Were Kovalev's trunks covering the naval....YES! Did Ward's punches land on the belt line....YES! Did Ward land low blows earlier in the fight.... YES! Was the fight beat out of Kovlev with that terrible right hand....YES! Would the fight have ended with Ward stopping Kovalev, even without the"low blows"....YES! Ward 2-0, Kovalev 0-2. That's the reality of the situation! Kov is good, real good, but as long as Ward is around he'll alwayz be second best!

    Kovalev crybabies :pipi

Admit it, be fair, Ward clearly cheated. Don't be a a-hole here, he hit Kovalev low repeatedly.

The ropes held him up, that should have been a KD.

I'm not rubbing it in on you, I only do that for people who kept repeatedly talking ****.

I'm just saying, this is going to be a topic that will be made thread after thread, ad nauseum. You know it, I know it.

    That's all I'm saying!

It's pretty simple as a UK fight fan with no real interest in who wins this fight for me to give the non-biased view of what happened.

A round or two before this, Kovalev did exactly the same, bending over because he was hurt.....replays show it was a low blow.

In the round where the stoppage occurred, Ward lands an initial low blow (Proof on replay) which obviously again makes Kovalev hunch over......leading to Ward having all the room and time to land a left jab and straight right to a fully open Kovalev. This clearly stuns Kovalev....but considering he didn't go down from the 'weightiest' possible punch Ward could throw, he clearly wasn't too 'hurt'.

Whilst still recovering, Kovalev is again hit with a single low blow, before this time having the capacity to hold. After the ref pushes them off, Ward goes straight back in landing 3 shots, all either on the belt or below. Kovalev then sits on the ropes, as if to say "FFS ref, you're going to get me KO'd if he's allowed to hit me in the balls all night".

    Ref waves it off.

TL:DR - Ward hurts Kovalev 4 times......Low blow - Headshot caused by low blow - Low blow - 3 either low or just on the belt shots. Kovalev is stopped after 'choosing' to sit on the ropes.

So what's that? 19/20 rounds? Still unable to settle the two....except one now has a terrible decision victory.

Ward was the better guy tonight from start to finish really

Kovalev may have the style to beat Ward, but his stamina and endurance has now been exposed in both fights
