LMAO Ward hit him with few pitty patter punches and a ton of low blows. Of course he's going to hunch over after getting hit in the balls. Kovalev was outlanding Ward and was hitting him with cleaner more powerful shots. But when someone has a green light to hit you to the balls then it's hard to fight against that person. If Kovalev was using the same tactics he would have been disqualified by round 3.
Kovalev got mauled in the 8th. He got b-itch cracked and didn't know what happened. He talked a lot of **** for such a lousy performance. Very disappointed.
The funniest thing is Ward fans saying that the judging was actually fair because the judges were from American east coast LOL. Let's have the judges from Vladivostok for the 3rd fight then. They live further away from Kovalev than Oakland is from New York.
Lol yeah let's pretend Kovalev didn't wobble from that right hand then spend the rest of the fight on complete retreat getting hammered to the body. So many Kovalev fans were saying Ward would get dropped and stopped within the first half? What happened???
Kovalev mentally quit and gave the referee Tony Weekes no alternative than to stop the fight. He became defenseless
"The rest of the fight" you mean the rest of the round in which Ward was using illegal moves? If Kovalev was so hurt as you pretend he was why did Ward need to resort to cheating then? He hit Kovalev with a nice shot but Kovalev would recover easily if it wasn't for the low blows. Ward couldn't knock Kovalev down like Kovalev knocked him down.
"Mentally quit" LOL after getting hit to the balls three times straight. You would "mentally quit" if someone was punching you in the balls as well.
The rest of the round (which was also simply the rest of the fight, yes). Ward hit him with many legitimate blows before he put himself in that crouched position, hands down, unable to defend himself. If that last shot or two are well above the beltline, it makes no difference, Kovalev put himself in a position in which he couldn't continue. He could have taken a knee, but he didn't So the only choice was for the referee to stop it.
why didnt kovalev knock ward out? he knew he couldn't rely on the judges so why didn't he knock ward out? ward will win a 3rd fight easily he already psychologically owns kovalev. stevenson beats kovalev too.
What you conveniently forgot is that Ward was hitting him with low blows through the entire fight and the ref didn't do anything other than warning him. What kind of "punishment" is that to just warn a fighter? Especially because we know that if Kovalev was doing the same thing the ref would deduct points. Ward should have had 2 points deducted before that round which would have significantly altered the way the fight would have went. He was given a green light to deliver illegal blows and his opponent wasn't allowed this luxury. This is just like if McGregor just started kicking Floyd and the ref would just keep warning him without really doing anything.
Because he has been hit with low blows and the ref didn't do anything about it. It's not a fair fight if your opponent can use illegal techniques that you can't.
The ref did warn him. But he wasn't going to just take Kovalev's ward for it every time he got hit on the belt line with his high trunks. 2 points deducted is just salt spilling out of your mouth in mounds. Kovalev was getting tired and complaining about shots nowhere near his ballsack.
He did warn him? And what does a warning do? Maybe I should "box" Ward, take him down and **** him and the ref would warn me that I will have a point deducted next time I do this.
