Oh yeah starting in about the 5th or 6th round I said to myself that Ward can absolutely stop him. It was shocking how much power Ward had and he seemed to be really committed to not just win rounds but land big hurting punches. So yeah I was shocked and amazed that Ward was really starting to hurt him. Not just in the 8th round but 2-3 rounds before that. Ward was absolutely brilliant in rounds 6-8 and it's a shame that his victory is being questioned by that last punch (which in truth was low). He did a lot of legit clean work leaning up to that, and he didn't need to throw that last punch, it almost assuredly would have been stopped anyway.

He wasn't less significant today, like you said, he was winning the fight, then he got stopped by a nutshot. The match and Weeks reffing of it was a disgrace.

Kov was getting hit by flush left hooks and right straights and it didn't seem to do much damage. It wasn't until he gassed out from all the tussling and his average cardio that the shots seemed to affect him. I predicted that if Ward was going to stop Kov it was going to be after he gassed. This was not my prediction of the outcome but this is what happened. Ward did not land a right straight like taht in their first fight either.

That shot rocked Kovalev a little, but his head was clearing, the stoppage was because of nutshots. Weeks is a disgrace and should be ran out of the sport.

Geez all I can do is shake my head, I guess you are who you are CST, Sergey was eating some wonderful leather before the big right staggered him because he physically faded. Wards punches were sharper and making good impact. You're in denial man but I think your mature enough to admit it in due time, it's all good bro losing stinks.

Not a little that shot hurt Kov bad and added to him gassing it was going to end up as a stoppage. I have stated that Weeks should have gave him a count though. It robbed Ward the chance of getting a less controversial stoppage. I also would have enjoyed watching Ward punish the racist more.

None of them were nutshots. if you want to see a nutshot, watch RJJ B Hop 2, that one that B Hop got in was a literal nutshot right on the cup. Nothing tonight came close to that. Even that last punch, it was below the belt but clearly above the nuts. I know you like saing that for effect, but lets call it what it actually was. And besides that last one, were any other Ward punches actually below the belt-line?

I just rewatched that round, he wasn't that badly hurt, I'll enjoy seeing Ward's limp body scraped off the canvass and carted off in an ambulance when he "goes up to Cruiser or Heavyweight" he's a wretched piece of subhuman crap. His refs, judges, no VADA, and fouling like a mother****er throughout, what kind of fan defends this type of behavior? He's a piece of **** of the highest order.

This is boxing anything can happen - you might be out on your feet one round and knock the guy out later like klitschko and joshua

That was a blatant low blow before the stoppage - anyone see that and be happy with the stoppage doesn't care abut how they "win"

Low blows are low blows, everything in that fleshy nerve riddled area hurts, that's why shots below the belt line are ILLEGAL.

I don't really want to get into this with you since I initiated contact, and nowadays my mentality is that if you start something with someone they're just responding, and if you continue replying you're the one who is desperate for the last word. But I'll just write some of my thoughts here. Kovalev was the first to throw rabbit punches. This is a fact. These were clear cut deliberate rabbit punches. Ward definitely landed some low blows that were borderline and maybe a couple that were not so borderline though I have to look back at the tape. The facts are there is absolutely no proof that these are intentional.

As for cruiser or heavy. I'd think Ward would have his hands absolutely full with Bivol, Beterbiev, and Gvozdyk. I think all 3 of these guys would brutally stop Kovalev if they fought him next. This isn't to downplay Ward's win, it's just what I actually think. I think all 3 of those guys give Ward nightmares.

Fine, and we can agree, he should stay at LHW, I'd love to see Gvozdyk shred his face to ribbons. And yes they were intentional.
