HBO PPV: Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev II & Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Moises Flores RBR.

Stoppage was premature but kovalev was already done,was already folded in half before the final blow, he would have got KO'd regardless.

 

I definitely have a bias for CST since he's been a buddy of mine since I've first came on the forum, just like how I defend shock, pimp, and a couple others, but I feel like I'm just calling it how I see it too.

It's going to seem like I'm kissing CST's ass, but he can attest to this. Our relationship has not changed one bit since he has become mod. I've still gone at him as hard(though lately I've been far less active on the forum), and he could have easily just banned me for some questionable stuff I've said. CST is real. I think you saying that he's just a "racebaiter", is harsh. Yes he's definitely pro-ee imo, but I wouldn't say he's pro white necessarily. Even as a huge Ward fan too you can't deny that Weeks ****ed up big time and denied the chance of Ward punishing the racist more and getting a less controversial decision. CST has every right to be upset with what Weeks did though I definitely do think his PED cries are sour grapes.

Just my take on it. I 100% admit that I'm siding more with CST though, because I know him far more than you. So it's not exactly unbiased.

If you treat him with more respect and not attack him I think you guys could be friends forsure.

 

I'm loyal to my buddies lol. That's why I always defend shock and call you and others out when you gang up on him and I think it's unfair.

 

I apologise for getting upset with you, I'm sure if we were to meet in real life we'd get along fine. You're passionate about boxing and I respect that.

 

I was thinking more along the lines that he could've
used the ropes were holding Kovalev up as he was
effectively sitting on them.

Regardless if I did or not the "stoppage" was the only thing that was embarrassing.

 

That big right hand that wobbled Kov and the fact Kov can only fight hard for 4 rounds is what ended it! I'll admit, Ward did land some low blows, but that's not what caused Kov's demise! Ward has made a blue print on how to whoop Kov. Very simple really! Get Kov out of his comfort zone and not get caught with any big shots for the first 4 rounds and Kov will fold.
By the way, Kov was behind on 2 judges score cards at the time of the stoppage! So no! Kov wasn't winning!

 

Agreed! The ref should have stopped the action and gave a count when Kov slumped into the ropes! He still would have gotten beat, but give the guy a chance.

 

The boxing community will speak of this tainted win for generations to come, and they will also speak of the blatant robbery in their first fight as well. It will haunt the Pro Ward fans for years, remember Sven Ottke?
