Wladimir Klitschko is "50-50" on taking up his option of a rematch with Anthony Joshua, according to his promoter Tom Loeffler.

    Tom Loeffler:
"If he retires on that fight, he had such a great run in the heavyweight division there'll be no better way to go out. That was just a tremendous fight

"I really think it's 50-50. Every time I talk to him it's almost like he's torn both ways. We'll naturally support him either way he decides. If he decides to take the rematch that's one the fans will look forward to"

Sounds like he wants to retire. If you want revenge it doesn't take this long to make your mind up.. this shows he doesn't have the confidence for taking the rematch.

He doesn't seem to be confident taking the rematch, if he would really think he could win he would have already taken it.

If he feels 50-50 about it, that means he should retire.

Yeah seems like he has one foot out the door... Farewell fight in Germany against someone like Hammer, Duhaupas or Helenius is probably more likely.

You can't take that kind of match if you're waffling on it. Better retire or take an easier farewell fight.

Not a good sign if you're a fan of his.

If he's genuinely torn in June, then nothing good can really come from it.

He should have a burning desire to take the rematch. If he hasn't, fair enough. Nobody can control their natural feelings towards anything. But if he ends up deciding to go ahead, we'll all know that his heart won't be 100% in it, and neither will his confidence levels.

He may as well just bow out with a final fight in Germany against a lesser opponent.

I don't want to criticise him. He's had a great career. But if he possessed Vitali's mental toughness and chin, he'd have been just about unstoppable.

Should definitely retire if he is having second thoughts.

He proved he would have beaten Joshua were he in his prime. The people know Joshua got lucky.

Retirement is definitely the best option, I don't think he can give as much as he did in the first bout... Which is the best and most interesting bout I can remember of Wlads...

Let the hw scene move on from the Klitschko era, if he loves the boxing world maybe he could become a trainer/promoter... I think he is a very smart man and this would suit him well

Retire please Wladimir, time isnt a good ally for yourself.
He has been a examplar fighter and person, he has dominate for one decade the heavyweight division, now its time to let the young people fight, AJ is the best fighter right now at heavyweight, he punches so damn hard, Wladimir isnt risking his legacy but his health

    The Klitschko show is done.

I remember his fanboys curved out a career plan for him like it was an inevitability.

Knock out Povetkin , breeze past Fury , bump off Wilder defend against 3 or 4 top tenners and retire undefeated as a top 5 ATG...:meparto:

In a few years nobody will even remember this guy :touched::rambo1:

Hmm I think he more proved that he has it in him to be an exciting boxer if he wanted to be.

Let's be fair to Joshua... he has only 19 fights so it's harsh to judge him against prime Wlad...
