You would have been satisfied with a DQ? Maybe play devils advocate for a moment and visualize the reaching from the Sergey supporters. Everything points towards a Sergey loss legitimate or illegitimate his future wasn't looking bright in that fight.

There will always be a debate regarding the legitimacy of the body blows that occurred just prior to the stoppage but there will always be a conversation pointing out Wards obvious momentum, kovalev's questionable stamina and his obvious and immediate depreciation after being dominated for most of the 8th round.

Why does the result of this fight have to be so black and white (lol) can we find a grey area here.

 

A DQ would have been more fair than a TKO win don't ya think? And no I can't say I would have liked that result... but a TKO win off a shot way below the belt?! Nah... no way.
