So you're saying all the shots that were landed in the time leading up to the stoppage were below the belt?

I HAVE NEVER seen a boxing match END with THREE BLOWS TO A GUYS TRUNKS ... and the guy throwing them is named the winner.

Ever. And I've been watching boxing for 40 years.

Where in the final series of blows, DID WARD LAND A PUNCH ABOVE THE WAIST?

You can see Kovalev's head, his chest, his stomach ... in the entire final series of blows ... and Ward never hits him there.

ALL the punches are in Kovalev's trunks.

And people are debating about where Kovalev's freaking BALLS might be located within those trunks.

The fact remains, you won't find any fight anywhere where a guy lands three blows to someone's trunks and WINS BY KO.

    EVER.

    Until Saturday night.

When Kovalev went down, time should've been called, a point should've been deducted from Ward, and Kovalev should've been given five minutes to recover.

It was a simple call to make. Weeks blew it.

You're supposed to hit a guy ABOVE the waist where his skin is showing. Not in his trunks. Kovalev's trunks weren't pulled up to his nipples. You could see his navel.

I haven't either. This fight did not end with 3 low blows to a guys trunks. The first two hooks appeared to be perfectly legal, however we still haven't been provided with a camera angle showing where those first two landed, the only good camera angle only showed the 3rd punch.

By the way, I'm watching this Dwyer video, and frankly this sounds like a guy that put a lot of money on Kovalev winning and is basically pissed that his prediction lost him and probably a lot of people a lot of money. So Dwyer's ya know kinda acting like he really didn't lose his bet because Ward really didn't win or something. Maybe he bet on the fight going the distance or something, I have no idea what his prediction was, but just from how he's going on about it, it just comes across as someone who lost a bet and Kovalev getting stopped caused him and a lot of his listeners to lose a lot of money. He's trying to save face by complaining about the stoppage trying to convince people that he wasn't really wrong in his betting advice / prediction.

The blow that dropped him was a clear foul.

He could've hit him with 40 jabs in a row ... and then punched him in the balls ... it's still a foul if the blow that dropped him was a foul.

Time should've been called. Ward should've been penalized a point. Kovalev should've been given five minutes to recover from the foul.

Really ? Where is it? His trucks and body protector were high. Alomsot as high as Lennox trunks against Holyfield . Watch that fight and you will see Holy throw loads of shots to his belt line.

First of all, Kov was never actually dropped so that's obviously not correct to say the blow that dropped him was a clear foul. Again, you said that the match ended due to not 1, not 2, but 3 consecutive low blows. To which that is clearly not the case. So at best you're exaggerating, and at worse you're just not looking at what actually happened. Now I've admitted that the last punch was clearly low, however where it landed had more to do with Kovalev and how he was hunched over than where Ward intentionally threw the punch. And again, regardless of that last punch, you need to correct your statement that the fight ended with 3 consecutive low blows. That just didn't happen. The fight ended with at most 1 low blow that wasn't particularly a intentional low blow or anything like that. Ward was simply throwing a body punch to a guy hunched over completely out of it waiting to be stopped. The low blow wasn't what was caused the stoppage, the stopped was caused by legal blows that got Kovalev into that fetal position along the ropes.

Video footage proves you wrong. Right before Ward staggered Kov with a big right hand.

You seek validation from some guy in his long underwear on his couch who warns you up front to "consider this an opinion from a complete stranger on the internet."

    This is your authority?

And it would've just as destructive to boxing as this was. I hate to say it, but it really does feel like these incidences are beginning to kill the sport.
