Marciano deserves a lot of respect

They can't point to his losses because he has none.
So they try to find abstract weaknesses, and exploit them full screen.

However, their intention are impure, which is why they obliviously run into stark contradictions.
Such as creating a hit piece thread on Rocky for getting knocked down in the first round, despite Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali doing that same exact thing against worse opponents.

Someone looking to genuinely assess Marciano simply wouldn't overlook something so obvious.

Junk thread aimed for the classic communities equivalent of tabloid readers.

Can't tell if you simply don't realize the weakness of your argument. A gif of a brief, unrepresentative moment is an extremely weak counter to the fact that many small fighters went many rounds with Marciano, including some who ate plenty of flush, fully leveraged punches and brutal combinations.

    Archie Moore (188lbs): 8 rounds
    Don Cockell (a flabby 205lbs): 9 rounds
    Ezzard Charles (185lbs): 15 rounds
    LaStarza (185lbs): 11 rounds
    Lee Savold (200lbs): 6 rounds
    Willis Applegate (196lbs): 10 rounds
    Keene Simmons (200lbs): 8 rounds
    Buovino (200lbs): 10 rounds
    LaStarza (187): 10 rounds
    Vingo (189): 6 rounds
    Ted Lowry (178): 10 rounds
    Don Mogard (187): 10 rounds

    How is my argument weak?
Did you see the gif in the link?

Because that wasn't even a boxing clip.
It was a gif of Jim Carry in the movie Dumb & Dumber.
    embarrassing

You say "hit piece," I say revealing piece of footage. What am I missing? Do you feel that the clip and commentary were misleading?

And Sonny Banks is way less formidable of an opponent than Walcott.
Are you arguing that Ali's knockdown is more acceptable than Marciano's?

Jack Dempsey got KO'd in 1 round.

Yet the Dempseyistas have the rose colored glasses surgically attached to their heads lol
Criticizing Marciano for a knockdown in a fight where he came back and scored arguably the greatest KO of all time hahaha oh boy.

Of course I didn't watch your gif--I assumed from the context that it was the Ali knockdown. Unfortunately, I don't have time to help you right now, so if you don't get why your argument is weak, you might just be out of luck.

    Yes. Of course you didn't.
You don't do your homework before making egregious claims.

Who "criticized" him for the knockdown? And what are we supposed to do, ignore it? Do we understand him better by just watching his ko highlights instead? You classic boxing cheerleaders/hero worshippers are the worst!
