Certainly at least some of the glove makes contact with the torso; given the trajectory of the uppercut it seems its initial point of impact is either the top part of the waist band or the liver region of the torso.

Looks like Kov's glove manages to block at least some of the second shot. Some it it makes contact with Kov's belt line, too.

He was crouching following the low blow but looked to be in those seconds prior; I'm just saying that if Ward follows up and connects to the head at that particular point, we probably aren't having this conversation.

Yup there was a small reaction to the low blow, I have no problem admitting was bit mistaken on that point.Id still argue he was already bent over in trouble from the previous beautiful body shots that Ward knew Kovalev had been struggling with previous couple of rounds and not sure how anybody thinks Ward wouldn't have eventually stopped him anyway, Kovalevs reaction after seemed he was glad it was over and didn't start getting upset till the interview. Sure people will come up with examples of fighters coming back from similar situations that Kovalev was in but was highly unlikely.

Yes kovalev was in trouble and ward could have knock him out on the chin. But those body shots are low man.

One low blow that we know of. First looks legit, second looks borderline.

One man grabbing his nuts and screaming in pain is another man's small reaction he was a bit mistaken about.

Do you have access to cameras we don't? I've seen the slow mo replays and one fan cam, and nobody was able to clearly film these "beautiful body shots" Sounds like you are just using your imagination to fill in the blanks.

    Uh huh.

Same can be said with you and others ignoring the fact low blows and headnuts were used during the fight and they played apart in the unravelling of Kovalev. Those things played apart of the final outcome which shortly followed. This is without a shadow of a doubt the truth.

Except the punches that have people plssed off landed well below that. They landed on the letters that are below the waist band. Nothing borderline about it, the punches were low. Ward and Kovalev are both awesome fighters, I like them both... but those punches were low and the fight should not have ended like that.

If they wernt illegal shots which they were not they were absolutely beautiful body shots, just cause you didn't like them and theres no proof they were legal doesn't make them illegal, actually that is when you trust the referee who has the best view wether you like his ruling or not. As for his reaction to the marginal low blow, his reaction to the clear body shots from previous rounds pretty much makes his reaction irrelevant to the discussion. The facts as it stands unless there is sum new footage is Kovalev was hit with 1 shot just below the belt line and the commission after viewing footage etc has said there was no issue with the result.

No I don't believe the same theory of confirmation biased can be applied for me (can't speak for others) there was a hearing conducted today by NSAC that clearly states the blows were legal, while I would argue the last two seemed off target and could be deemed low they didn't play a big enough role in kovalev's demise. I thought pertinent damage was already done.

Video ends with a defenseless weak kovalev barley able to stand, too arm heavy to punch, too weak to even hold, and in so much pain he cant even take a knee and give a knock down. Kovalev had assumed the position of a dry heaving vomiting whino. He was done finished kuput

Only 1 was low imo but I have no problem admitting I was wrong if theres footage showing the obvious low blows Weeks was right there with the best view and didn't even feel the need to warn him. Sure refs can make mistakes like all humans but hes been around long enough to deserve benefit of the doubt that he was right. Seems all the controversy is almost hiding how disappointing Kovalev was and how little he learnt from the previous fight plus those corner issues cant have helped either
