Hadnt he been faking all night long, maybe weeks wouldnt have thought that kovalev was faking again in that blow.

EDIT: plus, when he received this blow, he was just finished and looking at tony asking for help. You talk like if kovalev was ok when he received that blow, when actually he was practically standing ko. I can't stand Mares, and Jhonny KTFO of Mares is one of the greatest thing ever... but Jim Gray is an idiot. Mares did hit him low a lot.. but a lot of the shots WERE on the beltline.. and the last one that got called a KD was bounched of Abkego's glove and was arcing toward the belt... but it the glove first. Shouldn't have been a KD, but last I checked your glove isn't your nuts.

Also, the last shot Ward landed was right on the edge of the bottom of the belt, that's not your nuts. Kov was hunched over almost fetal at that point too.

 

Illegal stoppage?? Not sure about that, it was an awful stoppage imo but it wasn't illegal. But if the 'Krusher' wasn't looking so defenceless and took a knee instead of sitting on the ropes he could of got the count instead.

 

Yeah that was absolutely disgraceful how Wlad and The referee all conspired to cheat Povetkin. However seeing as Povetkin is a juiced up cheater it's hard to still sympathise with him.

 

There are 2 "legal" outcomes for a fighter hurt by foul punch: 5 minutes break to recover or win by DQ.

 

And sitting on the ropes after being hit by a punch can't be a knockdown per rules? Of course it can. Weeks could give Kovalev 5 minutes to recover or he could rule it a knockdown as well. But no, he ruled it a TKO victory for Ward after an illegal blow proving that he is totally corrupt.

 

Clearly a low blow, an intentional low blow........................that is against the rules, if Kovalev did that he would have been disqualified. I guess they should give Golota the heavyweight title he won from Bowe if low blows are legal. Anyone who claims that is not a low blow is lying......................

 

I agree it's an awful stoppage, Weeks made a bad choice but if you think I'm gunna feel sorry for a guy getting hit in the balls, when that same person was saying he is gunna end the other guys career then your mistaken.
