Although the 2nd fight left no doubt who was the winner, Kov won the first fight. I think maybe a rematch would
really captivate-especially if Kov decided to go the body as well.
Right now the score is 1 Kov, 1 Ward.
I would pay for the PPV on this 3rd fight.

I can fix this for you! Take a deep breath, try to watch the video's that show legal shots to Kov's guts. The belt line that Weeks said was legal will become apparent to you when you see Wards gloves rip into them. Ward landed many body shots, only 2 strayed low.

He had the ref in his pocket in both fights and two of the three judges in the second.

Those blows were low and on purpose, they landed with an upward motion which is planned to do the most hard. A low blow is below the belly button, not the belt.

Kovalev clearly won the first fight.............

SOB came from across the ring and headbutted Kessler, Ward's personal referee ruled it a TKO, yes, it was a TKO from a bad cut caused by an illegal headbutt, even the commentators mentioned it.............I would love to see a rematch in neutral territory with neutral judges, referee and boxing commission, but Ward said that neutral judges would not be fair. Why did he say that?

You said low blows as in plural. What low blows (as in more than 1) are you refering to. Ward landed from my vantage point exactly one low blow, the final punch was low. There weren't low blows as in plural. The two punches before that appeared to be to the body. Admittedly, we didn't get the camera angle that we got that only showed the last punch. Farmboxer, lets just be real about it, there weren't low blows as in plural. There was one low blow, and it was at a point where Kovalev was already about to be stopped.

And then you say Kovalev clearly won the first fight. Nobody clearly won the first fight brainiac. The first fight was exceedingly hard to score. You can say "I thought Kovalev won the first fight". But don't say he clearly won the first fight. I'm not even saying Ward clearly won the first fight. The first fight was one of the most hotly debated fights in recent history. That scoring will be debated forever. You're just showing your bias by saying that Kovalev clearly won the first fight. He didn't clearly win that fight. You can argue he won it, but those rounds were incredibly difficult to score.

Then you're bringing up fights from the Super 6, come on man, Farmboxer, you're not even in the ballpark of even pretending to be unbiased. If you have to cite a fight from 6-8 years ago then obviously you're reaching here. Kovalev got his ass knocked the **** out. If Canelo beats Triple G, what are you gonna say then? I mean if you're saying that Ward had low blows as in plural or acting like that's why Kovalev was hurt or something, if you're saying he clearly won the first fight, it's obvious that you're just saying this stuff because you like Kovalev. We know you're a huge Kovalev fan and we know you're a massive Triple G fan. But I'm a Ward and a Canelo fan, but I'm not gonna go and say that Ward clearly won the first fight. I'm trying to keep it 100 with you guys. But you're not trying to even be real about, you're just completely exaggerating every thing in favor of the fighter you like. That's not being an unbiased boxing fan. More than being a Canelo fan or a Ward fan, I'm a boxing fan first and foremost. And if Triple G beats Canelo, I'll come on here and be real about. I'll give Triple G all the credit in the world if he can get that done. But I just know you won't do that if Canelo wins. That's the difference between an unbiased real boxing fan like me and and no offense but a massively biased homeristic joker of a boxing fan like you. I enjoy the humor that you bring to this board, but you're just saying this stuff to be a joker or something, you're not a serious boxing fan.

I agree. I would not rank him, and I have WAY less desire to see SOB's fights than Mayweathers.

    SOB sucks.

Ward had already been warned twice for low blows.
Fightnews, and countless spectators saw the final 3 punches as low.

" Kovalev had been hurt by a powerful straight right hand by Ward moments earlier, but replays showed the final punch was clearly below the belt, with the other two in the final sequence likely below the belt as well but partially obscured by the referee’s body."

Ward intentionally put all his power behind that last low blow punch.

Ward had not been warned about low blows. In the 2nd round, Kovalev was given 5 minutes for what can clearly be seen as a middle of the belt-line punch that was not low. Weeks was being kind to Kovalev, now we can take a look at the video and see that Kovalev was reacting to a punch that was not low, but Weeks still gave him time to recover. But after that, Kovalev twice reacted again to low blows (in the 7th and 8th) but those Weeks did not give Kovalev 5 minutes because he realized that Kovalev was just hurt and was trying to act like they were low to get time to recover a la Bernard Hopkins when they were really on the belt-line, which were legal. So Ward really hadn't been warned for low blows. Weeks at times said "keep em up" because both guys were fouling. But if you study the footage, there wasn't any clear low blows by Ward, and Ward was never warned specifically about hitting low.

OK, now you’re saying that Fightnews and countless spectators saw the final 3 punches as low. This is very interesting because as we can all attest to, there isn’t a single camera angle that has shown where those first 2 punches landed. From the video footage we have, they appear to be to the body above the belt-line. But again, we don’t have the proper camera angle to actually see specifically where those punches landed. So until you can show us video footage proving that those those 2 punches were low, which apparently does not exist, then you can’t say Ward landed low blows as in plural. We know Farmboxer is just here for humor, but we’re trying to have a real serious discussion about what happened here. And to say Ward landed low blows as in plural is just a fantasy. I”m willing to call a spade a spade, but unfortunately we don’t have good enough camera angles to judge those first 2 punches. We just don’t. Unless somebody in the crowd took a video from a better angle, we’re apparently never gonna know for sure, but we can estimate based on a bad angle of those punches, and they certainly were not as low as the 3rd punch which we do have the good angle on.

Ward absolutely put all his power in that last low blow, as he did put a lot of power in the two punches before it. But in fairness to Ward, with a guy hunched over in the fetal position, I can’t sit here and say that he intended to hit Kovalev low. There’s no rule preventing a fighter from putting all his power on a punch. Ward absolutely landed that last shot with bad intentions, but bad intentions to go to the body. When you put that kind of power on a shot, you lose accuracy. When a guy is hunched over like that, I don’t know how you can say that Ward intentionally landed that punch low.

I fully admit it was a low blow and it was hard, but wasn’t in the nuts, it just below the belt-line, above the cup. Lets just be real about it. We keep seeing people like Farmboxer and others making blatantly false and exaggerated statements to basically make excuses as to why Kovalev lost. Just man up and be real about.

Unfortunately HBO only showed the clear view of the last of the 3 punches. You say those 2 were likely below the belt. We don't have the angle to verify that, but they were clearly higher than the last punch. Given that the last punch was just below the belt-line, I estimate that the 2nd punch landed directly on the belt-line, and the first punch looked to actually be much higher and into Kovalev's body. I don't know how you can say those 2 punches are likely below the belt. The first appears to be above the belt the 2nd appears to be on the belt, but as you can attest to, we just don't have the camera angle to see them. Maybe somebody in the crowd took a video of that from a better angle, or maybe HBO will release more video of the fight showing that so we can 100% verify those 2 punches. But as it stands, without indisputable video evidence, we can't just assume all 3 of those were low.
