Fully agree with this but agree with what McVey says that you can't discount the work that went before. You can't call it a one punch kayo when Marciano had landed 4 or 500 or so punches beforehand but, equally, you can't call it a classic grind down when Joe was, as you say, perfectly able to fight back effectively until that last punch.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Yeah, and Turner has trained world title holders as well.

Is there a special number of world title holders one needs to train to earn your credit? How arbitrary.
Is it 3? Is it 5? Is it 7?
Where do we separate the men from the boys.
    4?

The punches Rocky landed on Walcott prior to the KO helped weaken Walcotts boxing ability, in the sense that it helped break down his defense and slowed him down. It helped Marciano reach Walcott for the final blow, but it had nothing to do with hurting him to the point where he was close to being knocked out.

He wasn't in survival mode, holding onto the ropes, or trying to regain his balance. There was none of that.

It was a pure one punch KO.
If Marciano were able to connect it in round 1, it would've dropped him all the same.

Marciano was undoubtedly the hardest punching fighter in the world when he was fighting but to say that no one in the 60+ Years since he retired has managed to even match him in pure punching power, let alone surpass him, does take some believing.

Marciano wins over Walcott in both fight one and two were one punch knockouts. The KO in both fights was caused by single blows. I don't understand the effort to call it any other way.

Moore also said that Rocky got a long count when he dropped him. For whatever reason, Archie never wanted to give Marciano full credit for their fight. Patterson's punches hurt Archie more emphatically than any of those men, yet we can all probably agree he didn't carry the same punch as Marciano or Sheppard.

Not saying Rocky was the hardest puncher ever, but Moore tended to have a slanted view of Marciano and that should be taken into consideration in the discussion.
