    Kovalev OUTBOXED Ward in 1 and 2... wish Kovalev would have fought dirty as well and hunted Ward's balls.

    He's not a better boxer. Ward is far more dynamic and technically complete. It's that Kovalev's power makes it such that Ward has to fight tentative until Kovalev gasses.

    When you are swinging an absolute sledgehammer with precision and accuracy it causes the opponent to hesitate at all times.

    He has the reach advantage and a great one two with good power which is great until you fight a guy who can take away your right hand. He can't deal with inside fighting and becomes frustrated as well.

    That's the big key. The power. Kovalev hits extremely hard. The one flush right hand he landed on Ward in 20 rounds dropped him HEAVY.

    If Kovalev was the better technical fighter he would have landed the flush right more than one time.

    It's the power that changes everything about Kovalev's opponents. You have to fight tentatively because he's hitting extremely hard. But once you get inside or he gasses he can be had.

    But Kovalev isn't reliant on his power. He boxes beautifully at range and Ward had no answer for his jab
