Ward vs Usyk

    In a nutshell, this isn't a case of Ward going up to fight a crude CW,
    he'd be going up to fight the most technically proficient CW, someone
    with an excellent amateur pedigree, and is enormous (compared to him)
    Great big guy beats great little guy.

    Ward can't even beat Kovalev in a straight fight.

    Usyk will do his Kurgan impression and plunder his fcking ass.

    This, lol. People are overlooking that a smaller, technically inferior and weaker Kovalev beat Ward in their first fight, and got his pubic area beat like a drum in his second fight with the corrupt referee enabling it, and the referee prematurely stopped the fight on a low blow :risas3: Ward never truly beat Kovalev fair and square but somehow he can beat Usyk? :2guns:

    I wish that Ward's big talk wasn't just hot air and that he'd try his hand at one of the good cruisers :boxing1

    Unless Ward is allowed low blows, and gets his favorable judges, he's going to lose.

    I'd like to see the fight. It won't happen...

    Easy Usyk win.

    It's likely not a very competitive fight.

    Usyk is too big and too skilled. There's probably nothing Ward could do to bother Usyk or deter him at all.

    Ward lost the first Kovalev fight and was losing the second one as regards punches thrown/punches landed. One good round, Round 8, doesn't change things and particularly so against a fighter taller and younger with longer reach.

    It's not there for Ward.

    Team Ward knows better than to take this fight.

    Mchunu fought like always does and he landed some good shots til Usyk turned the pace up.

    I've seen Mchunu put in more effort in several fights. Face palm all you want.

    Glowacki has wins over Huck and Cunningham and the very underrated Matty Askin, all four of which probably take Ward to his limit and in all likelihood KO him, Usyk toyed with him.

    Thabiso Mchunu has dominant wins over Olanrewaju Durodola, the guy that beat Kudryashov by KO, Eddie Chambers, and was schooling Makabu for the first 6 rounds of their fight, Usyk stopped him with ease aftr 2 or 3 feel out rounds. I don't see Ward getting past Mchunu, Durodola, Makau and maybe even Chambers unscathed.

    Michael Hunter hasn't fought many top competitors since turning pro, but he's clearly skilled, his win over Isiah Thomas was sloppy but, he had to make it that way since Thomas is a retreating counter puncher. Hunter is supposedly known as a beast in the gym and easily the best US Cruiserweight, at least in my estimation, and I thought that before the Usyk match, Hunter won two rounds maybe 3, Usyk dominated the rest of the fight and by all rights should have a stoppage victory over him. Compare the 12th of that match to the 8th in Kovalev-Ward, the ref should have been arrested for attempted murder.

    Usyk skillwise I rate higher than Kovalev, this match would be shockingly uncompetitive, Usyk's size is too great, his speed is too much, his combinations and angles too voluminous his footwork more impressive than anyone Ward has shared a ring with. He gets battered about the head and face for 6 maybe 7 rounds if he's lucky and Wergal throws in the towel.

    Jesus Christ, come on Jack, Usyk has competed against 6'6 Heavyweights without headgear on. I've seen him hurt exactly once by Beterbiev with a body shot, and he recovered almost instantly, Ward is no Beterbiev power wise, Usyk has a 3 inch height advantage on Ward and an 7 inch reach advantage, not to mention just generally big as f***, Usyk weighs 25 pounds more than Ward, then add in the rehydration, Usyk weighs 35 pounds more than Ward. This would be an unmitigated destruction.

    Lucky for Usyk neither can Ward, and let's not get carried away there Dirty Dan, remind me again who's stopped Glowacki or Hunter? Somehow I doubt Alexander Brand and Sullivan Barrera see the final bell against Usyk, and for the record, Usyk beats Kovalev by stoppage, and I said that on here a few times, long before the Ward stoppage. .

    Exactly! Usyk beats all the LHWs at this stage, most of them by KO. He's not that feather-fisted either, it's just his power gets compared to Gassiev, Briedis, Kudryashov, Chakhkiev, all enormous punchers.
