Simple. Risk doesn't match the reward... Which has been the entire story of Wilders career. $4 million isn't enough to risk, because they know(especially after watching the Joshua fight) that as mediocre as Whyte may be he has a shot at shutting Wilders lights off. Why risk that when they can just fight Stiverne again and mediocre voluntaries until cashing out against AJ?

There have been HWs who have even abandoned their title or retired in order not to fight a mandatory they don't feel like fighting. Nothing unusual here.

What did Wilder make against Washington? More than that what did he make against Molina and what did Joshua make against Molina? Wilder doesnt want to make good money off what he would call an easy night yet has yet to face anybody good to enhance his legacy. So what is he doing?

If he wants Joshua so much, which i struggle to believe, he could demolish Whyte better than AJ did and then call AJ out and mock him with the result of the Whyte fight. Joshua does react to provocation. The ONLY downsides to Wilder taking this fight are 1 he will struggle to get Whyte to a 2 week training camp and 2 he might lose.

He wants Joshua. I don't know if Joshua wants the fight right now. But this is more about Hearn. Whyte is out of the picture for now. Whyte isn't a mandatory for any of the trinkets as far as I know. Hearn is just trying to control the HVW division. The public will be asking for this fight soon.

A few UK and Europeans fans have this hypocritical thinking about unknowns and draws now suffering from the Floyd NMayweather Jr Syndrome of who is a draw and who isn't. Joshua won't be fighting draws for the rest of his career. All boxers have to fight a Wilder or Spence or Mayorga...guys who weren't big draws. Wlad and possibly Fury are draws over in the UK and and Europe...and wouldn't draw flies to **** here in America. But if you want to be world famous, you must conquer America.

It's obvious what he's doing- fighting a bunch of nobodies to keep his 0, then fight Joshua for big money and get his ass kicked, then disappear into obscurity with his riches. Not a bad business plan actually, but is pure **** for the sport of boxing and shameful that the sport allows it.

The problem is Wilder doesn't "draw flies to ****" in America. He couldn't even sell out a 17,000 capacity arena in his home town! Ricky Hatton took more than that to Vegas! And that won't change until he starts fighting better opposition. American fans don't give a s**t about him and never will while he carries on fighting nobodies. As thing stand, AJ is closer to conquering America than Wilder is and until Wilder starts taking some risks, that isn't going to change.
