While it may feel good for you to say that there were low blows as in plural, as we can plainly see, Ward didn't rely on low blows to stop Kovalev. Kovalev was relying on rabbit punches and low blows himself, and Ward gave him a taste of his own medicine which Kovalev didn't like. Kovalev hit Ward to the belt-line, so Ward retaliated and hit him to the belt-line to see if he liked it. If Kovalev had not been fighting dirty, Ward wouldn't have had any reason to retaliate.

Kovalev's style is all wrong for Golovkin. Kovalev controls the distance too well. Triple G is walking right into his punches doubling the impact of his power which is already too heavy for him as it is.
