What he said was that if he had knocked out Jacobs, Canelo wouldn't have taken the fight meaning GGG looked bad which gave him confidence

Well, that's good news, because he will rematch jacob after canelo (no matter the result of the fight) in order to prove us he is not lying. Isnt it?

 

If GGG really wanted to knockout Jacobs he could've forced it, but when a guy is running and as negative as Jacobs was why risk it. Ortiz tried to force the knockout with Scott and walked into a head butt. PAC also couldn't knockout a shot Shane Mosley that was on his bicycle. When someone is that negative the other fighter should be smart and just box and get a decision. No reason to risk an accidental butt or getting cut from a guy that just running. Jacobs threw so few punches that it was obvious he wasn't going to win and he isn't Canelo so getting an unearned decision wasn't likely.

 

Jacobs fought a sweet fight. I'm not sure Golovkin could have KO'd him without taking some serious risks.

 

Eh I dont know about that. If you watch the fight rounds 10, 11 and 12, GGG is clearly trying to get rid of Danny Jacobs. DJ is also pushing GGG back. Those 3 rounds were close hard fought rounds.

 

I'll tell you straight up, he's talking ****. Jacob's size, speed, and overall activity was problematic for him..just the way it is. You can't concede every physical advantage (age, height, weight, speed..etc) to a world class athlete and expect to dominate and destroy.

That's the difference, if Canelo told you that, you would ****ing take it as gospel. In fact wasn't people on here arguing, he deliberately carried Khan and Chavez Jr or such ****...
