You never saw the fight. Uuuuhhh ... orrrrr, maybe Jacobs isn't glass jawed? Proof that you never watched the fight. Lots of people got sent to the canvas by GGG. Your point? Assuming you have one? Imma thinking you never saw the fight. In the words of another poster: Compubox: Golovkin 231/615 punches landed to thrown at 37.6% Jacobs 175 / 531 punches landed to thrown at 32.3% Imma thinking YDKSAB ... AND that you never watched the fight Indeed
Clear win by GGG. Probably not convincingly as most used to, but there shouldn't be any doubt as Jacobs just didn't do enough to win and that happened with all the advantage Jacobs received before the fight.
Canelo is smaller but he has the tools to win a UD over GGG. If Canelo can get his shots off first and not stay in the pocket too long then he can win exchanges. I see this fight going to a UD personally. If Canelo tries to lure GGG to the ropes to counter him like he was trying to do to Chavez then I can see Golovkin doing some nasty work if Canelo doesn't move off quick enough. I think Canelo is a bit to smart to let this go on for too long but if he isn't then this is the only way I see Golovkin scoring a KO. For Canelo himself to score a KO he probably needs to be the aggressor, I don't think stepping backwards and countering all night will be enough to wear Golovkin down. Canelo will have to work his way inside and throw bodyshots in the first half of the fight. However, I don't see Canelo playing the aggressor in this right. I got this fight 55/45 for Golovkin right now. Canelo will probably take a lot of the early rounds with his handspeed and Golovkins usual slow start but will be caught by some solid shots while on the ropes leading him to tire quicker than Golovkin in the second half where Golovkin does the better work.
It is one thing to watch a fight on TV and another to sit ringside as the judges do . From a few unbiased sources who were at the fight in a good seat , they felt that Golovkin landed the majority of the harder shots and dictated the pace of the fight most of the time . Jacobs was not aggressive enough . I had Golovkin winning by 1 point but the ringside folks had it 116-112 for Golovkin .
I had it 114-113 GGG he won because of the KD, and I think that's the best possible score, I can maybe see 115-112 GGG.
Golovkin clearly won the fight and is was not that close..................you have to understand the judges, referee, boxing commission was for Jacobs, yet they still had Golovkin the winner................... The referee, judges and boxing commission will be for El Pollo, so Golovkin needs to knock him out to get a draw...............
I had Jacobs winning by 1 round watching it live. A lot of the fight it had Jacobs back to the screen and if GGG was connecting with most of his jabs I just couldn't see it.
