Why does he have to fight Wilder to be a champion ?

Parker is a better beltholder than Wilder and Wilder will probably lose the first time he fights someone decent.

Whyte will punch back and Wilder has never faced anyone of that level (fringe world class) in his entire career.

He wants to keep the undefeated record and keep the cheques flowing in, without that WWE STRAP he is worthless.

    Fury is never coming back
Parker isn't 10million, he is arguably not even 4 million
AJ wants the fight but he is being ducked, because he knocks Wilder out in about 2 rounds.

That leaves fringe world class operators like Whyte that he can fight for a decent cheque.

Instead he fights Polish bouncers and retains his WWE belt.

Is "Bong Squad" supposed to be an insult?

He has to unify the belts to become champion just as Wilder has to. And what you said about Parker and then Wilder...just flush that **** down the toilet.

So you are trying to say that Golovkin and Andre Ward are not champions in their divisions because they don't hold
    all the belts ?

Wilder's belt doesn't mean anything, Wilder has not even proven that he is one of the best heavyweights, Dillian Whyte and a couple of other B-level fighters would have beaten all of his opponents, Wilder is a B-level fighter who holds his belt hostage at the moment.

why does wilder not ask his own promoter to stump up the money for big fights

by paying heavyweight contenders 100k for title fights is the reason wilder is not getting any big fights.

    wilder would beat whyte IMO

Wilder can't really talk about beating anyone to deserve a title shot though can he?

Whyte's win over a game Chisora is far superior to any that Wilder scored as a contender.

Wilder correctly saw that this is fools gold. When he knocks out Whyte he'll just be another bum and this is so very predictable. We'll see how bad Eddie Hearn wants this matchup, he'll have to pay up and so far he hasn't put up enough. UK supposed to be read hot then pay up. Truth is, it's not that hot and has to be declining after their belt holders keep losing.
It's funny people are pretending Whyte is any type of threat to Wilder. Whyte didn't even definitively beat the gatekeeper Chisora, that's who he should be rematching, or ideally fighting Stiverne to actually earn his shot at the title. It's laughable to even suggest Wilder is cared of Whyte, somebody who he could hit at will without even having to set up any shots, just bang on him until he's dead.

Chisora & Whyte would both KO Wilder.

You miss the whole point. Boxing is about money and atm Wilder isn't worth much. Fighting Whyte in the UK lifts Wilders profile and that means more money for a unification.

    Watch where Parker fights next.

The UK is where it is at for the Heavyweights and it isn't even close..

I imagine Wilder is worried about:
    1. This paving the way to a fight with Joshua.
    2. Not beating Whyte as well as Joshua, which would reflect poorly on him.
He probably really doesn't want to get involved with Hearn, Joshua, and the UK. And if he struggles at all with Whyte, his credibility will take a big hit (among casuals at least) .

I just can't see him being afraid of losing to Whyte. Whyte is terrible and isn't any better than guys Wilder has already faced.

Same reason why he turned down 10 mil from Povetkin.

Why is Wilder even bringing up Joshua as an excuse now? He knows he's tied up atm with the Klitschko rematch/Pulev mando. Get this Whyte fight out of the way to set up a big unification early next year. The man clearly doesn't want any fight with a semblance of risk.
