If the American wants that shot at Joshua he needs to take on Whyte 1st. This is Eddie Hearns thinking. The UK does not know who Wilder is yet he is a champion but he certainly isnt a draw in the sport. Bring him to the UK and demolish Dillian Whyte better than Joshua did and then the smack talk can start between the 2 whilst whipping up a frenzy of interest in the UK media and then this fight will be huge and Wilder will be able to talk his way into a good cut of the money in the Joshua fight. Ofcourse Heans also thinks Whyte could take out a very overated Boxer like Wilder and then he has 2 heavyweight champs on his books. If he is wrong and Wilder beats him then Wilder has just advertised himself to the UK public which helps sales in the Joshua fight, no that Joshua needs help in selling tickets no matter who he fights. But this is the best way for Wilder to get to Joshua and he gets 4 million pound but he doesnt seem interested. Its hard to tell what Wilder and his team really want out of this sport, it really is beginning to look like he wants easy fights on home turf at short notice to his opponants and to take on no real challenges.
Audley is better known for his time on Britians version of Dancing with the Stars. Most men, women and child think they could knock Harrison out.
I don't see Wilder taking the fight, since he would have to pay Stiverne step aside money in order to not lose his belt. Paying step aside money would make sense for a unification, but not to fight Whyte of all people. Whyte scoring a close decision Chisora isn't that impressive, since Chisora has been finished as a top contender for years. If Whyte fought and beat Stiverne for the mandatory spot it would make this fight interesting and Whyte would actually be deserving of the title shot.
Would he have to pay step aside money? I know Stiverne is supposed to be his mandatory but there doesnt seem to be much happening on that front. Last i heard Wilder is still awaiting an opponant. I dont know whats really going on there.
Pay step aside money ?? Only if Sulaiman says so, and he always backed Wilder. So you'll see Wilder fight a no hoper for 3 or 4 times less money than what he would've got for fighting White. Any polish sausage available? Maybe Wach, if he's not considered too dangerous for Deontay
Wilder rather does NOT fight than fight a live body like Whyte. That's how scared and careful him and his handlers are. They know anyone with a basic punch who is not a total tomato can has too much of a chance to knock him out.
Let's put it this way, AJ is the A side compared to Wilders B side. That clear enough for you dingledorf? Now get out of here before I throw you out of here Blizzy.
Yep..............however, Wilder does not care if his opponent is Whyte or Black as long as it's a wino from the alley............
Yeah it's pretty obvious Hearn wants to build the fight between Joshua and Wilder and a fight with Whyte would do that. Hearn has talked of Joshua fighting Wilder for some time, it's no coincidence that his first 2 defences were against Americans he sees the Wilder fight as a way of breaking America and has been making moves to grow Joshua's profile in the US for some time but he also knows he needs to grow Wilder's profile in the UK to generate the kind of money that will be required to get Wilder to give up his belt by signing to fight Joshua.
