Fair enough, just don't want you to become to bitter like Kas117 although a lot of that had to do with his grandfather.
Wasted a whole lot of Golovkin's career. Still not a job well done considering what could and should have been.
That was back when Ward was at 168. Not long after Ward rejected a GGG fight. Golovkin is fighting the BIGGEST draw in REAL boxing on Sept. 16, LIVE on HBO PPV. Don't miss it!! I repeated myself more times. That must mean I won. I'm gonna walk around yelling BOMBSQUAD!!! over and over and over like a ****ing moron just to make sure though. I love winning, thanks bich
LoooL!! THEY really wonder why we have the views we do regarding boxing. They actually wonder why!! Lol
Another guy going pyscho because I said something that hit a cord. That wasnt back when Ward was at 168. It was also in recent months Loeffler said this. But I guess you must have missed it. Ward never rejected any fight with Golovkin. Unless you count the time Golovkin claimed to have wanted to fight Ward while Ward was sidelines with injury and promotional issues. Its ok man. I realize that you dont want Golovkin anywhere near Ward even though Golovkins team has said that when it made sense its a fight they would look for. Good day Sir!
He's lucky he got a push here at all. When was the last time a non-HW EE fighter was an HBO feature fighter? Serious question. Was there ever one? The last guy before GGG that could've been was Pirog, and HBO sent his ass packing back to Siberia when he had the audacity to not lose to Jacobs lol. That's not to victimize EE guys, other foreign guys without big audiences on the network got ignored or screwed for doing too well, too (Sergio comes to mind).
He was a world champion and still fighting in local gymnasiums (the dude he KO'd in one in one of his first few defenses). Literally. A world champ defending his title in a gym.
Even the most respectful, articulate, fact filled explanations get met with ridicule and accusations. There is no sense trying when the most comprehensive and seemingly obvious things fall of deaf ears. i say screw it, just start slinging mud and making counter accusations. Being nice rarely gets you anywhere they of all people know, understand and practice this more than anyone.
That did resemble something out of a Fight Night game lol. The Simon fight was originally the co-headliner to the Wlad-Mormeck card that got cancelled. It got moved up a day on short notice to what looked like a high school-level gym because it was either that or a delay/cancellation. GGG signed with K2 that week. To get GGG an HBO date 9 months after signing was an accomplishment. The original plan was to have GGG face Pirog, who was finally welcomed back thanks to an HBO management change, and the winner was going to get the push. Pirog's back injury changed that, and Proksa stepped in as the replacement. What really set him back was the time with Universum. Had that time been invested with a promoter with U.S. connections that actually supported him, he'd have been much better off. addendum: K2 was the only promoter willing to fight Universum in court when the contract dispute got ugly, and that's how they landed GGG in the first place. Top Rank and GBP were interested in him, but neither wanted to deal with the German courts and the risk/expense that went along with it.
These are facts. Most GGG haters will never acknowledge these facts. If Golovkin was American wow imagine the push he'd get from the start. But nope, he's from KAZAKHSTAN a country no one has ever heard of. And now he's fighting in a mega fight in Vegas with all the bright lights for 8 figures. After Wlad and Vitali, GGG is the next most successful EE/Asian fighter. At least Klitschkos had Ukraine and Europe to support them. GGG had to build his name by KOing 22 opponents in a row. I've seen him fight 3 times in LA. 16k in attendance for DOMINIC WADE!!! In that crowd i saw all kinds of races wearing GGG gear. Not something easily accomplished
