Sergey Kovalev: To become better than Ward, I need help of a professional (trainer).

Looks like Kovalev has come to terms that Ward is the better fighter.

I know this might be tough for the Kovalev fanboys to accept, but it's the truth.

Also, Sergey Kovalev is considering hiring Virgil Hunter as his trainer. Here's what he said:

Ward's trainer has offered to work with me, it is an interesting proposal. I asked my manager to find out if all of this is true and under what conditions... will Ward remain at his current weight as I've heard that he wants to move up. If me and him have the same trainer and we are both in the same weight division, then it doesn't make sense. But I do need a new trainer, I've already made a decision on this for myself,"

 

Well, if true, then he would be contradicting himself when he claimed he lost because of low blows.

Everyone knows Ward won and is better, even Sergey knows it.

I don't think Hunter is a good fit for him on top of that it just doesn't look good for Kovalev. He would be better off finding someone else. Robert Garcia or Roach.

 

Well if he wants to get a better trainer he needs to look elsewhere than Hunter.

 

He had that mentality going into the rematch, and look what happened!

 

Hunter is probably just as shady as Jackson.

 

Roach would be a good fit though I could envision Kovalev getting frustrated with Freddy and decking him if he spends too much time with Manny.

 

I agree Ward won and is the better fighter, but the low blows were still offensive and distasteful.

In fact, I think it's incredibly sad that such a monumental fight was tainted by dirty tactics.

I have to consider Ward one of the absolute best fighters today. But how am I supposed to appreciate his abilities when I know he fights like that?

Roach would make him worse. I would go with Naseem Richardson. He's the fighter whisperer. Robert Garcia is not bad either but Naseem will help him out mentally. Kovalev's biggest weakness is his mental.

 

Btw, all the idiots on this board, even Kov is telling you Ward won and he's the better fighter.

Kovalev throwing Jackson under the bus. Jackson has several other professionals though. Why is Kovalev dissing Jackson so hard??

 

Let's say theoretically he nailed him with multiple low blows (He didn't btw, he hit him once at the very end and that was only because Sergey was already in a fetal position from the body shots), we need to consider the fact that Kovalev has glass nads. What about that? He has himself to blame for his glass balls.
