Ya. But see. Cotto and Maidana didnt almost beat Floyd

But see. Alcine was a 154 guy really. Who beat this supposed 160 monster in Lemmy. But see how many good wins does Rosado have at 160? His best days were at 154 really. And you are talking about Welterweights in Maidana and Thurman. Man, just holes everywhere in your argument.

I think ggg would lose to pbf at 154. The difference in speed and reflexes would be too much for ggg to overcome he's slow as **** and pbf would land on his ass like rain on a hot tin roof and be gone. I think pbf would lose to ggg at 160 as that would be his 6th weight class and that's too much. He would lose by size alone not skill. In fact if pbf and ggg were the same size pbf probably wouldn't lose a round to him prime for prime. In fact if he was the same size as gggs opponents he would tool all of them and barely lose a round in the process. Yes size does matter and you have weightclasses for a reason. I could very easily say all of wilders opponents beat gggs opponents but what would that prove?

If Floyd fought GGG all the skill that Floyd has won't make a single difference. Because the strength difference is massive. Golovkin is absurdly tougher and stronger than Mayweather is. Just a massive difference in the physicality between these 2 fighters. GGG will walk right through a flush Floyd haymaker. Right through it. He could land a 4 punch combo on GGG and then GGG walks right through though it and crunches Mayweather with a single partially blocked shot. He's just too strong.

    Maybe

So why did Golovkin fans call Cotto names for months because he wouldnt fight GGG when Cotto is about the same size as Floyd and you acknowledge the strength/size difference is too much for Floyd?

Why are Golovkin fans claiming Ward to be "too big" when they are pretty similar in size and they claim Ward has pillows for hands?

No. Just no. Cotto is bigger than Floyd. And Ward is bigger than GGG.

Cotto and Floyd spent the latter primes of their careers, the top earning point of their careers, in the same divisions

Cotto is 5-7 with a 67 inch reach. Floyd is 5-8 with a 72 inch reach

    Golovkin 5-10.5 70 inch reach. Ward 6ft with a 71 inch reach.

Cotto aint BIGGER than FLOYD. NO WAY NO HOW. You think just because Cotto stepped in with a crippled Sergio he is somehow bigger. He isnt.

You always overrate power. Power is overrated skills aren't remember that. How much power did ward have to beat kovalev? What about pea Whitaker against jcc? When you're not landing power shots because the other guy is taking away your power hand then What? How many times have you seen pbf disarm guys and they don't land that big shot while he lands his pilling up points and wining rounds in the process? I also said pbf would beat ggg at 154 not at 160 and I said if they were the same size pbf would eat him alive.

Good post. Good examples. Power is a nice weapon to have. But its far from the end all be all.

It isn't and we see it time and time again. Give me skills over power anyday.

    Im sorry Tinman

When you try to tell me that Cotto is bigger than Floyd you have lost any chance at me taking you seriously.

You cant tell me that GGG is too big/strong for Floyd yet defend GGGs fans for calling Cotto a pansy for not fighting GGG. Then tell me pillow fisted Ward is too big for Golovkin. I could even let you slide telling me Ward too big for Golovkin. But when you tell me Cotto is bigger than Floyd I have to laugh.

Because Ward can actually fill out 175 pounds. Mayweather is too small to compete at 160 pounds. GGG doesn't have to land on Floyd to hurt him. Just partially land. GGG too big.

Didn't I tell you in my previous 2 posts that I feel that ggg would beat pbf at 160? I said I think pbf beats ggg at 154 and if they were the same size.

Ok, but 154 would be a lot of weight to cut for GGG. He walks around in the 175 range. He'd be a zombie at 154 so yes I'd give Floyd a decent chance at 154.
