Win/Win for Ward. Goes to UK. Gets paid. Win and he beats a cruiser/heavy. Lose and he lost to a cruiser/heavy. This is what daring to be great is about. No whining about guys being bigger.

 

Big props to Ward if does fight Bellew at HW/CW whether it's here or in the UK. Once again daring to be great.

 

Ward is like 6 ft with a 71 inch reach 175lber. Bellew is 6-2 and over 200 lbs with a 74 inch reach. I really hope Ward makes this fight. Would show huge balls and a willingness to put size aside for the sake of greatness

In comparison Golovkin is 5-10.5 with a 70 inch reach 160lbs and his fans claim pillow fisted Ward is TOO BIG!

So Pretty Ricky is 6-3!!! Ward aint worried about who is bigger! He is daring to be great. Have to love the spirit!!

What I love the most is its pretty clear that Ward has reached out to Hearn. This isnt Ward out here talking gas like "Hey Id fight Bellew". Its coming from Hearn which means he has probably had contact with Wards people regarding this. I love it! Ward is really going all out this year!

 

Ward would much rather fight a 6'3 Tony Bellew than a 6'3 Oleksandr Gvozdyk, I guess.

I knew Ward was going to take the money fights. The ideal route are the likes of Bellew, Badou Jack, Stevenson, Joe Smith Jr.

 

Nobody really knows who Gvozdyk is.

 

It's an easy pay day. Hardly daring to be great. If he wanted to prove himself he'd wait and try and line up a fight with GGG after he finishes dealing with Canelo. Or he'd fight Usky or his mandatory Beterbeiv but I think he knows deep down that it wouldn't end well for him.

 

It's the safest high profile fight for him above LHW, how is he daring to be great? He'll almost certainly be a massive favorite going into it.

 

I can understand it.
Ward has beaten the best guy at 175 and currently feels like he's already achieved the unification goal at 175. He wants to chase the money opportunities until there's a consensus number 1 threat at 175 like how Kovalev was.
I want to see Ward vs Beterbiev, though.
