Everything about Ward seems rigged to me.

What is a "neutral" judge or referee? The notion that American fighters need foreign officials for every fight against a foreigner is stupid.

Ward wasn't a favorite going into the Super Six, he was virtually unknown, so thinking that he was scheduled those fights at home because of favoritism doesn't make sense. Plus he won the final in AC where Froch had more than 500 of his own singing fans in attendance.

The first fight scorecards were totally reasonable, people just obsess over the knockdown. Kovalev also complained about totally legitimate belt line shots in this fight, probably why Weeks didn't buy it when they were low at the time of the stoppage.

I'm glad I did this post. Some of the most smart boxing analyst are on this site and I'm glad to see that most on here agree the deck was stacked vs Sergey except for a few demos

So all 3 judges coming up with the exact same scores is commonplace. Even Germany which has a bad rep for home cooking have neutral judges and referees in title fights. Everyone else in the Super 6 fought away from home except Ward. Clever from his team, I guess as for Ward vs Froch that wasn't close but he still had an American ref
and probably American judges if it was close(like the 1st Kovalev fight)the decision was always going his way. despite the vast majority including American commentators scoring the fight for Kovalev.

SOB had the super six fight in his hometown, with his personal judges and referee.....................SOB said that neutral judges would be unfair..................why did he say that? I say give a rematch in Moscow, with Russian judges and referee..................

The same people probably were the ones crying robbery when Froch got a SD in he Super 6 in Nottingham(and I can see an argument for that) but IMO Kovalev-Ward I was a clearer Kovalev win than that. Boxing fans are tribal and nationalistic in that way.

That is what we are here for. The true appreciates of the sport understand there was of myriad of various factors which heavily influenced this bout against Kovalev, meanwhile robbing it's audience of witnessing a satisfactory closure between two great fighters.

There was no winners in the end.

It's not commonplace, but in such a close fight, it's very difficult to give the fight for Ward by just one point. Going into the 11th and 12th, the fight was on the table.

I saw Ward win the fight by one measly point in a fight that could have gone either way, so did most people who actually produce a scorecard to back up their claims. I just don't believe that judges inherently have nationalistic bias when boxing is one of the most individualistic sports, in which Americans get robbed by money-making foreigners all the time, and in which judges are influenced by bigtime promoters and superstars and hometown favoritism. Ward has none of that. He's not a draw. He's not the face of boxing. He won a close fight though and all of a sudden American judges will always score it for the American.

Kolvalev gives his view on the why he believe's the outcome was against him
and no longer interested in 3rd fight.
" I want to note its not because i am not afraid of him. Its just i need to assess this
situation, against the local fighter. He is unbeaten , has a very big support base
and money too. He has a promoter like Jay Z and Beyonce and between them
they are worth $ 3.5 billion , so its difficult to box against that type of machine.
It obvious in the first fight and the second fight the officials were not on my
    side.

Ward fought better than in the first fight, but the ref was terrible. Low blows and no counts.

You sound like you've never watched boxing before except I know you have. That was just a terrible stoppage, you and I have seen fighters look much worse than that and they get counts and a chance to finish the round. Weeks just missed the low blows and ended it very quickly.

Ive watched boxing before. Ive seen Kovalev kill a guy. Ive seen Franco and others in comas. Ive seen some MMA guy try boxing and get killed.

Kovalevs face and actions spoke volumes. They spoke of a guy with nothing left in the tank that didnt want to fight anymore. Im not a huge fan of the stoppage. But I also wasnt against it. It was just a formality anyway. Kovalev had 0 chance of winning that fight after that round.
