As a Loma fan, I'm disappointed with his next opponent

    I'm not saying that Marriaga is bad (he's actually good fighter) but he won't be competitive vs Loma. The guy isn't on Walters level, let alone Loma. Vasyl is now in his absolute prime, and it looks a bit like wasting of time against b-level opponent. Shame that Salido turned down 720.000 offer...Hopefully Loma will have bigger fight by the end of the year

    They had fights that made them really deserve rests. Loma needs the best fights that Ali and Chavez had plenty of lol.

    Salad didn't want to get absolutely clowned in the rematch which we all know is what would have happened. He'd rather try and dine out on being the guy who ch-beat Loma than actually prove he could get a legitimate W.

    Meh... could be WAY worse! He could be fighting a 0-0-0 MMA fighter ;) So it's not too bad!

    It's in like, what, 5 weeks. Pretty good when you consider that. And when you consider it on ESPN even sweeter. I'm guessing Loma's making less money for this one than his last many fights, maybe all of them... Marriaga wasn't wiped out or anything but he lost almost every single round against Walters so I don't know how we expect him to be competitive against Loma. Maybe an injury or random haymaker chance.

    i'm disappointed but at 5 weeks notice, it isn't the worst in the world. i just wish he fought 3 times a year as well. The next fight is gonna have to be a really good one i think

    It's on free TV and they tried to get Salido first. Hard to complain. Hopefully he fights Linares at some point. That fight will make it all worth it.
