He owned the only other p4p rated fighter in that division. Beat him twice.

As I said. Now you guys want him to fight Stevenson. But before it was "Stevenson ducked Kovalev". So Ward fought a guy twice that Stevenson "Ducked". If Ward signed to fight Stevenson you guys would claim he should be fighting Gvozdyk and Beterbiev. Ward has entered that stratosphere. The Floyd Stratosphere. Where its always the guys hes not fighting that he should be in the eyes of the jealous.

We can't really say Ward "cleaned out" 175 because of all the talent left in the division. If it was just Stevenson it might be different, but now there's Bivol, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, Joe Smith Jr, etc.

As for the term "owned", it depends how you define it. Ward beat the man in the division (Kovalev) and now is the man himself. Is that = owned? Or does "owned" imply cleaning out the division?

I didnt say he cleaned out the division. I would go by your standards. Thats why I say owned instead of cleaned out. He beat the man in that division twice. The only other p4p rated fighter in the division. Id say you could call that "owned". But ya it depends on how you define it.

I realized that, I was just wondering exactly what "owned" meant.

Oh, so the same arguments people made for Kovalev minus the fact that Kovalev is infinitely more skilled than Bellew lol. It's not like he's even looked great at cruiser. Haye was crippled. Makabu made him do a summersault in the first round. He's relying on power, and that's the first thing Ward takes away from a bigger man. I mean, you're giving the guy pick em odds against the best fighter in the sport when his career has been defined by under performing and fleeing to a less competitive weight class. There are cruiserweights I'd give those odds to (Gassiev, Usyk). Bellew is not one of them.

Bellew doesn't rely on power, he is not known for huge punching power, he is a decent boxer in most aspects with
an underrated ring iq, he is not a one dimensional come forward type of guy, although he is not as skilled as Ward,
i think he could give him some problems due to his size, he is 6ft 3 and 200 pounds, Ward's fighting style is very physical, he likes to get in the in-fight, also Bellew has a decent chin, he took hard shots from David Haye who
punches a lot harder than Ward.

Uhm, his stint at cruiser has been defined by his power. Well, that and Haye's ****ed tendons. It's not like Ward is even going to try to knock him out. Ward wasn't comfortable enough to try to stop Kov until he already had 12 rounds in the bank to figure him out. He's going to soundly outbox him for 12 because Bellew is a figure more than a contender. I doubt either would win the WBSS. This is as much a stunt as RJJ's fight with Ruiz was.

I'm also not that impressed by Bellew but he is better than a lot of people give him credit for, the most picked
against him vs Makabu, Ward should win this fight but i don't think it will be that easy for him especially because
he hasn't fought at cruiserweight but let's see, i will admit that i was wrong if Ward would easily defeat him.

How is he better than people give him credit for? A lot of people give him too much credit imo. He got absolutely embarrassed and outboxed by Adonis Stevenson. You can't blame skill on a weight cut. The guy is another British personality mistaken for a boxing talent.

Well, most people thought he would lose to Makabu and that Haye would knock him out within 3 rounds and he
pulled it off against both of them although i don't give him credit for the Haye fight because i don't think he would
have won the fight without Haye's injury.

Chilemba and Clevery say they were about around the same level. Kovalev was obviously the greater puncher. I don't know where you got 'infinitely' from.

no ,Haye walked into the ring on two healthy legs and left it head first through the ropes. Thats all there is to it.

So what? Bellew got up and blasted him away in only 3 rounds.

Haye relied on power and thats the first thing Bellew took away from him. He relied on ring smarts , not power to beat Haye.
Bellew is big , strong , has above average stamina and knows how to fight up close and is a legitimate top 5 Cruiser weight - a division people have always said in one of the best in sport.
If Ward can go up and clown this guy he must be some kind of super man.
