Thats what I'm thinking also. I've also had the feeling from the start that this seed picking thing is a sham. But we'll see

The only guy Huck is a clear favourite against is Wlodarczyrk ...

They can also make Huck vs Glowacki II. It was a great fight and it could sell some tickets. The QFs can be very well decided behind the scene, contracts signed, all this before the 8th of July. So we'll get the " reality tv" drama.

But I dont care because this tournament is any real boxing fan's dream. The best against the best. But that doesnt mean they can't set it up in the most profitably way possible.

With Usyk, Dorticos, Gassiev and Briedis in the tournament, will a undisputed champion be crowned?

Wow, what a lineup! I would love to see Ward fight the winner of this tournament.

Bellew is only emeritus champ. However, Lebedev is the full WBA champ ...

Finally! They were making us sweat the last few days. Now we can say this is easily the best tournament ever. Heck, this is probably the best series of matchups in a division over a year and a half period ever. Thank you wbss :ARMS1:

I think it would have been better if they had selected an American and a British as well. Bigger market power and ratings.

They just need to get the four seeds right. Because they mention 'recent form' as well as basically resume it should have to be Usyk, Briedis, Gassiev, Dorticos. But I don't care how they order them because we can't predict if the seeds choose who they think is the worst, best, toughest challenge for him, or avoid a rematch. My draw prediction based on who I rank 1-8 is the same as yours except Huck and Kudryashov switched. I do really like Gassiev-Kudryashov, but you can't go wrong of course.

I agree. The best way to give yourself a chance to advance should be to take the guy you think you have the best chance beating, but you want to defend your choice as a good opponent. Wlod in this stacked field stands out as the worst, and Usyk already beat Glowacki. So I think Usyk, assuming he does get first pick, takes the knockout puncher Kudryashov or the long-time champ Huck.

I said Dorticos should be four, but his record is pretty thin so Huck could be. But it doesn't matter because four just gets the last guy standing. So Usyk, Briedis, Gassiev just have to be top three, order doesn't really matter.

I don't see how Huck can be given an advantage as a seed if they tried. Usyk and Briedis have to be higher, right? And if Huck is third and we assume Wlod and Glowacki are picked what guy left would Huck be favoured against? I could see the first two picking say Kudryashov and Dorticos and Huck getting lucky with Wlod though.
