Bob was too eager to justify the judges scorecards if you ask me that's a sign of guilt. Methinks Bob has used his power to influence the judges here. Bob just wants the rematch so he can make his %
All of the biggest promoters are crooked. It's all about money and all of these fighters are mere pawns in their game of Monopoly.
Arum may be a snake but STFU with this "robbery" nonsense. It was a close fight, STOP the whining already. Robberies do happen but NOT every close fight is a robbery.
That he had a plan B doesn't mean he wouldn't have much preferred plan A. It was the opposite of a robbery: Manny was 'supposed' to win, but the judges actually didn't follow the script. If we want to call the 117-111 a round too wide, well, Arum and Pac deserve it. Cherry pick gone wrong, justice served.
This wasn't a cherry pick. For that to be the case Horn would have had to be the first option. Horn wasn't even the third. Horn was the highest ranked guy in the sanctioning body that Pac had a title for that Pacquiao hasn't already defeated in the past two years.
This is about as delusional as people thinking that Sor Rungvisai a Thai trashman with a run of the mill small time Thai promoter had some mysterious secret pull and power with the Vegas judges against undefeated Roman Gonzalez in the running for best P4P fighter on the planet who fights for one of the biggest promotions out of Japan and is the darling of HBO, who'd been building to a megafight with Inoue for 2 years, both of whom have a ridiculous amount of pull. How about this, Sor Rungvisai the guy brought in to lose was far better than anyone anticipated and came to win, exceeded expectations and did enough to keep most of the close rounds ridiculously close and competitive which impressed the judges, since its not often that you see guys keeping rounds even with Chocolatito, so they saw fit to give the close ones to the guy that was supposed to lose as opposed to the guy everyone thought would win. Same thing happened with Horn last night, when the cherry pick exceeds people's expectations and the A-side puts in a dismal uninspired performance in a match that had many close 50/50 rounds, they give it to the guy who actually looks like he wants to win. And then there's the little thing that he did actually win fair and square and deserved the UD.
PAC is old anyway what's the point on keep milking the overrated cash cow? Pac style power and skills were overrated the only thing he had speed and work rate but that's also diminishing.
I think it was a lil fishy... Maybe Arum felt a Pac lost wouldn't be the end of the world. And now maybe he can get more out of Horn. Pac still is going to make money regardless if he continues this world tour thing. Or rumors are one last fight in the Philippines
