Surprised at the level of outrage and commotion with Horn v Manny compared to Kovalev Ward.

Post fight and there are hordes of former boxers to journalists, DJ's , promoters television networks and commentators taking to social media in order to compaign on behalf of Paquiao to declare the fight a robbery as well as stating they have lost faith with boxing

From Lennox Lewis, Stephen A. Smith ,Kobi Byrant, Errol Spence, Lou Dibella and George Wrighster citing it as unfair and a disgrace and the judges need to be investigated. And of course we have the fans behaving as if it was greatest ever con job done a boxer, when in reality it was a really close fight with neither fighter clearly dominating, no knockdowns scored and no illegal blows to end the fight.

Where were these boxing advocates when Kovalev was robbed in Vegas after scoring a knock down and painting Ward's face black and blue? All these manny apologists were completely silent or of the notion that 'well that is how the cookie crumbles'' ''just accept the result and stop whining haha'' Where were they with their arguments for the first fight that they used to present the case that Pacquiao should have won ''even though Ward was the more active in the second half of the fight, Kovalev landed the cleaner and more effective shots'

It just goes to show how biased and partisan most boxing fans are. Until it happens to one of their favourite fighters they do not care about robberies, rather they are concerned only it if effects their heroes, only then does boxing become a disgrace with something needing to be done about it.

This has provided much proof to shed any doubt in my mind, that had Ward been the victim of the events that saw Kovalev have his belts taken away, there would be a mass boycott and people taking to the streets to get the decision overruled backed and supported by sports celebrities, politicians and television networks worldwide until it was permanently drilled into every man, woman and child's skull, that Ward was robbed.

Yes I already asked these same hypocrites if they would be fine if Conor used MMA moves on floyd in a boxing match to cause a stoppage and none of these fake boxing fans had any answers.

I have to say I don't always agree wit the op but he is not the first person to say that friends and family said to me, where was this outrage when Ward was gifted in first fight with Kovalev.
All I can say is this fight was on free tv with a higher profile star so more ppl probably cared about the result. I will say espn leans heavily left now and all their "journalism" has a tinge to race controversy to it.
Kovalev was credited with a win by Dan Rafael. The fight just didn't get the coverage of this fight. Thats all.

Interesting but I think they gave it to Horn just so they could get Mannoy out of the way for Spence, Thurman and Crawford. They have wanted Manny gone from the sport for a while and having him stick around winning would take shine away from their current crop of American "stars" they are trying to cultivate into crossover sensations.

Ward/Kovalev 1 was much closer than Horn/Pac! The rematch was a consistant break down of an over emotional fighter that could not make the proper adjustmemts. Also, all the belly aching about low blows is nonsense because Weeks pointed to where a legal blow was. That beautiful left to Kov's body that almost brought him to his knees was the best I'vs seen in years and that killer instinct that Ward demonstrated was a suprise to a lot of his fans and all the Kovalovers. Ward showed how anger, properly focused, can be used in an advantagous way. That's why real boxers and boxing pundits don't get upset like the hate blinded Kovalev fans do. They watched both Pac and Ward fights through objective eyes. They all know that Ward>Kovalev.

 

You shouldnt worry about the fans, boxing historians and experts, the boxing community and the TRUE boxing fans all know that Kovalev>Ward, and it will always be that way regardless of what some Kovalev detractors think. Two tainted wins over Kovalev wont propel Ward over him, just ignore them.

Experts will always talk about the robbery in their first fight, and the low blows in their second fight, and the fact that Ward had all the officials on his side due to being the hometown fighter with a huge financial backing. Boxing is corrupt as it is, so it is no surprise.
