People forget hes only 20. For a twenty year old the powers decent. Still think without the benn name people would be looking at him thinking he looks not too bad a prospect. Instead people see its benns son and if hes not knocking over world champions right away...hes hopeless. Give him time. Looks raw. But the power actually looks like it could develop especially when he learns to set the punches up better learns to mix the power etc.

I wish him well and support him. One thing he will struggle with that can't be fixed is lack of height. How will he overcome his lack of height and reach against taller longer guys?

I like him, at 20 with only 7 fights & loads of areas that will improve with experience, he's a good prospect. Move him slowly for now, let him make mistakes against opposition that won't hurt him too much. Good talent, hard to predict how far he'll go at this point.

The guy was given 24 hours notice but he was in camp. He was headlining a show in Preston im sure of it. Dave Allen was meant to be on the show but it's now cancelled because, was it Mike cole? Anyway he got knocked out

Correct, Cole was in camp as he was headlining a show with Allen on the bill.

Not sure how good mike Cole is...didn't look all that tbh but Benn did the job...

I liked the movement but would it work against the top fighters and can he sustain that for 12 rounds...

Not too worried re: power, that should develop with age, though he's clearly not got Nigel's power...

Looks decent to me, difficult to say where he'll get to at this stage but he's only 20...

I can certainly see him getting a title shot in his career but let's see...

Looks a good athlete, has natural talent...would like to see him use the jab more.

Conor Benn is a very good athlete, he is raw but he has talent and natural ability. If you recall, when Eubank Jr turned pro, hardly anyone rated him for his first few fights and felt he would get nowhere but he has developed into a solid fighter who is world/fringe world level. Conor needs time and the right fights and I'm sure he can get to Euro level.

The biggest questionmark i ve got of him is he seems a bit insecure. Not sure if thats the right word but a bit unsure of himself. Nigel was the same but it became probably his biggest strength. Outwardly he seemed very sure of himself but not sure he really was. Nigel was able to use that as his biggest strength tho. I m not sure its quite so common in the kids nowadays being able to overcome it tho. Been pandered to so much they never learn how to overcome it and use it as a strength. Not sure insecures the right word.

If you put conor in with the world champion...he,d be sitting their saying this guys brilliant i ve no chance. Whereas nigel would be more like this guys brilliant i ve no chance. Wait a minute hes not better than me. He thinks hes better than me. Who does he think he is. I ll show him. Let me get my hands on him. Thinks he better than me. Is he having a laugh.

Athletically hes looking good for 20. Power looks decent for that age think it will develop. The two things he needs to improve on now is experience and mindset. Its the mindset thats the hardest part because you cant really fake it. What helps the mindset usually comes down to your life experience etc. Nigel was in the army led a prettytough life whereas the son was sitting in australia living pretty much the high life. Big difference.

The tough upbringing element while it does seem to forge hard men it's not essential. Look at Eubank jnr brought up with a spoon up his rectum yet still a tough ****er

Some people are just born fighters

He is trying to hard to be a tough guy though all the tattoos and exaggerated cockney accent does scream insecure . Doesn't effect a fighter though look at mayweather the most insecure human in boxing. If anything it's advantageous

Yeah totally agree. Didnt have time to really explain my point properly earlier mate. The tough upbringing isnt essential as has been proving over the years agree. But what i m saying is for insecurity it can be a big plus. Because their used to relying on themselves sometimes they ve chosen to rely on themselves in their upbringing...they learn to overcome it themselves can be different things that go into that...experience. personality upbringing etc. The kids nowadays have either chosen or had other people to rely on over the years...they then cant find a way to overcome it because they ve never learned to rely on themselves properly. They dont feel quite so inferior either because they ve been treated better from youth anyway.

Peoples make ups different. The upbringings only really one part of it and sometimes its not a part of it at all. But it can play a part. I reckon both benns suffer from the same thing...eubank senior suffered from it a bit...hence the reason he has to act differently from everyone else. For me its a bit of a mask. But his son eubank junior doesnt really suffer from it. Hes pretty sure of himself.

Some dont know or learn how to use it...its a thing quite a lot of people suffer from. Some stay believing their inferior.

Others like nigel benn. Eubank senior. Floyd mayweather. Use it probably subconsciencly to make them the best. They ve got to win to stop that feeling of inferiority. Pretty much a massive thing in sport. I m not sure how much science there is behind this post mate...probably none. Thats my theory on it anyway.

I d be interested to see how many people with inferiority complexes...insecure people make it to the top in boxing. I m pretty sure the percentages would be pretty high. I d say hatton suffered from it. Froch. etc. Joe frazier. Pretty much all your competitive people. I actually think theres a link between insecurity/inferiority and competetiveness. My questionmark over connor is i m not sure he,ll overcome it to use it as a strength like his dad did. Hes probably had it too good.

    100% link

Secure and confident people don't feel the need to impress. They are content with themselves .
