Holmes too crafty and tenacious as good as Holy is a young Holmes has every bit the stamina and tenacity. Holmes was a thinking man's fighter he outpoints Holy. IMO

Holy eats that jab all night followed by that cross and sneaky uppercut. In a 15 rounder the ref rescues Holy late. Prime Holy isnt in the same league as a prime Holmes

Love Holyfield, but he wouldn't have an answer for prime Holmes possibly/probably best jab in the history of heavyweight boxing. And that underrated right cross and r.uppercut. I don't think prime Holmes stops a prime Holyfield. But I see a unanimous dec with Holmes teeing off on Holyfield in the last 3 rds. In a 15 rd. Fight.

I think it's a little unfair on Holyfield to say that because he didn't wipe the floor with Holmes when they did fight that he wouldn't have a chance with prime Holmes.

For starters I think Holyfield carried Holmes a little and didn't go all out on him, secondly Holmes in his prime was a lot more aggressive and come forward, this would leave him more vulnerable to getting tagged. I reckon it would be a very close fight in the end.

Holy loses to a prime Holmes but gives him a harder fight than spoon, weaver or Williams did. He'll push Holmes all the way, it's in his nature. I see a split decision win for Larry.

Close decision either way. Holmes isn't stopping Holyfield, an underrated technician and reasonably complete fighter. Even peak Larry spent long periods exchanging punches. Holyfield's gameplan i think would be to pressure him and make him fight. His success in that probably holds the key to who wins.

Holmes competitive but fairly clear UD. Prime Holmes also beats Tyson IMO.

Bingo. I can see Holmes getting Evander in big trouble but Holy's heart would keep him up. 145 -141 Holmes
