First of all, it depends on who is the most skilled. There is no set rule who would win an actual fight. However, if the boxer lands first, the mma fighter is at a severe disadvantage. I boxed before I took karate and I went into the dojo giving the black belts fits in sparring because of my boxing skills. It is a lot easier to land a punch than a roundhouse kick.

Many boxers learned to fight on the streets as kids long before they boxed add that with world level boxing and anything can happen

These guys seem to think that just cause you throw a punch it will land, like its a ****ing RPG. You go one turn at a time.

MMA is not a streetfight anymore than boxing is. No doubt top boxers and mma fighters can really fight and most learned to fight on streets with no rules etc and would batter most men out there even much larger men

That's true. But MMA fighters generally speaking at better equipped for a fight on the street than a boxer is.

Tim Sylvia is renowned as stupid in the MMA world. Bad example.

I see what your saying but you don't know what someone has learned from being in actual real fights. Going to the ground in an uncontrolled environment is not a great idea and kicking also has drawbacks if missed. I would rather face fmj in the street than say Brandon rios, Pacman, matthyse etc( as similiar sized men ) puncher brawlers would not be fun to fight. Duran was meant to be a monster

Raining elbows from the mount and having the back of your head smashed into asphalt does. Lets see you philly shell defence then.

I'll agree there! Pure boxers are certainly a much less scary prospect than facing a pressure fighter in a street fight.

And taking someone down and landing on broken glass or bumping your head on a curb stone or his buddy running up and kicking you while your down see how wrestling does then. No way to know how or if a mma/boxer can fight

Seems brawlers especially punchers always seem to come from some shathole and learned to fight as kids in some rough area

Boxer or MMA, don't matter. I'll run as fast as I can while screaming "Mommy" rather than face them on a street fight.
