    Premise was one on one but friends dogging in is of course an issue - no problem as all my mates train so it would quickly be an all in. If I initiate the takedown / throw and I know how to grab and how to really torque you into it then chances are I am not the one that gets ****ed up by the pavement. Cheerleaders seem to pause when you plant the big dog into concrete.

    TBH when I've seen men trained in mma in a fight they started and finished just punching the other guy

    This would happen all the time going for take downs on tarmac.

    Mark Kerr a wrestler knocked himself out cold going for a double takedown at Pride 27. Thats in a padded ring. Imagine tarmac.

    MMA gyms train street stuff all the time - of course if they are competition focused then a large amount of practice is sport based but all the dirty stuff such as fish hooking, gouging, cranking and slamming as well as multiple attackers drills are practiced.

    Bullsheet - a simple watch of youtube will show this an unusual occurrence.
    If you takedown strategy is hope that the other guy KO's himself in a basic farkup then you ain't exactly setting the bar very high.

    McGregor would just leg kick him a couple times with his lead leg then go high with his rear leg, fight over! Sure he could also hit a trip takedown or hip toss from the clinch at will before hitting the first sub that availed itself. Whole thing takes less than 30 seconds.
