    Sugar,

    Ill just never understand it.

Cotto was WW. We agree on that. Golovkin wanted a fight with him
Canelo has 0 wins against MWs. Hes operated at WW/Jr MW for like 90 percent of his career.
Brook is a WW that has 1 fight north of WW. That was the Golovkin fight itself.

Golovkin has fought, will fight and pursued one of these fights. Yet guys blindly praise this guy all the time. Meanwhile Andre Ward did his thing at 168. Then went UP to 175 to take on the man there who was also a fellow top 5 p4p guy. He fought him the first time, got knocked down, and won a controversial decision. Then people said he would avoid a rematch but didnt. And took Kovalevs will. Yet one of these guys is praised and the other is dragged down every day. Theres no reason for this other than the blatantly obvious. And its sad.

You cant fully support Golovkin, knock Ward every day for everything and try to tell me you are a "boxing fan".

Look at the dishonest approach to take. You can agree on whatever you want about Cotto, but fact of the matter was, he won the lineal MW world title. He wasn't a WW anymore *sshole. But you label him as that to try and make some lame *ss point.

He agrees with those two for the simple reason that, both Dino and blizz share his hatred for 3g and his fans. So naturally those guys are good posters, while I'm terrible, according to the guy who's been banned 30+ times! LOL

Yes, because in the last 5 years Ward only has 4 wins against fringe nobodies and a series against Kovalev in which I expressed my thoughts on.

Since September of 2012, Golovkin has fought 14 opponents to Ward's 6. 8 of which were regarded as genuine top 10 contenders in his division, one was the #1 welter and rated P4P by ESPN.

I don't believe Ward's two controversial wins are quality enough to overcome the sheer volume of excellent performances Golovkin has accumulated in more recent years. And most recently, I was more impressed with Golovkin and Jacob's performances than Kovalev and Ward.

This year is really making it hard to rank p4p. I don't believe even with a convincing win I would rank GGG at #1. Maybe if he beat Zurdo and DeGale at 168 he'd be #1.

Now c'mon what has Ward done in the last 6 years ?? Get given two 'wins" the vast majority of the boxing public say he didnt deserve, over Sergey Kovalev
Now, as we all know, GGG has to face the same stacked deck that Kovalev faced .
Oscar will have his officials memos distributed. The NSAC will be looking the other way conveniently. We all KNOW this but the sad part is many have just begun to accept it GGG has to KO Canelo to be sure of a win

A very convincing win over Canelo would be a better victory than any of the other top ten PFP fighters have had recently so that pretty much tips the scale in GGG's favor as the no. one guy.

Golovkin is a bum, he has to beat Charlo and Spence to become at least a top 500 ATG, then he has to beat Canelo convincingly twice. Then he has to go up to 168 and beat all the bum title holders there, and he has to do it by a wide UD and or knock out. If he can do that he is in my top 300 ATG list. Then he has to face Ward, in Wards hometown with his own judges and officials, if Golovkin can beat him with this disadvantage then he is in my top 200 ATG, Ward is a god and can never lose, it has nothing to do with the pro Ward Judges and Referees/officials, he fights clean. Golovkin is a PED cheat like Kovalev. Wlad always loses to anthony Joshua. If Golovkin beats Kovalev that will put him in my top 195 ATG list. Then he has to move up to cruiserweight and beat all the Eurobums there by Wide UD or KO, and he has to move up in weight and not take PED's to do so, he has to do what James Toney and Roy did, move up in weight without taking performance enhancing drugs, they are the cleanest fighters ever, oh and by the way James Toney knocks out Wlad. Just saying. After that he has to move to heavyweight and knock out A top 2 heavyweight, and he isnt allowed to take PED's, if he can do all this he is in my top 150 All time greats list. There is nothing The Triple G string can do to become a top 149 ATG, so he is ultimately a hype job who sucks.

    Mayweather is TBE.

What in the hell has Charlo and Spence ever done? Let Spence fight Charlo next, and add Jacobs..................they need to earn a title fight.....................Golovkin is the best middleweight in the world today, but Oscar will pay off the judges, referee, boxing commission and do everything he can to cheat.........................El Pollo also has a rematch clause, so if El Pollo gets knockedout, Oscar will find a better way to cheat, this is how boxing works today..........

Tho it wasn't a clear win, Ward's win over Kov in the rematch should put him at #1. Jacobs is much better than given credit for and that win should have Ggg in the top 5. It was #1 middleweight vs #2 middleweight who looked like a cruiserweight. Canelo is very good, he most likely would beat most 160lbers, but he's never proved it. We don't know how his power will affect a true middleweight or how he handles a 160lbers power. Hasn't fought a real threat since Lara, with whom he drew IMO.

I felt Ward lost his first match with Kovalev. Most people agree. Now he has avenged that defeat. To me he is p4p number one. For Triple G to overtake that spot depends on the nature of his win. If he struggles or their is a controversial ending then no he wouldn't supplant him. However if he wins decisively then yes a very strong case can be made to put him there.
He had an incredible Ko streak against legit opposition.
He is avoided like few ever have been.
Canelo is a very good fighter, an extremely popular fighter and at his absolute peak. Jacobs was at his absolute peak. Lemieux was peak.
It's a strong enough run to go along with his absolute dismantling on the rest of his resume of good not elite opposition to make a strong case for him.

People who ducked/avoided Golovkin had been done to death but briefly include Zbik, Sturm, Quillin, Saunders, Eubank, Cotto, Sergio whilst fights with the likes of Pirog, Taylor and Lee couldn't be made for other reasons outside of his control.

Jacobs had to be essentially bribed to face him the first time round. Don't forget that. He dragged his mando status out for the longest time possible and then held out for a massive split all things considered because he knew GGG was desperate for a big fight. That he performed much better than expected is something but it's the Canelo fight everyone wants to see and that will get him paid serious money.

Sure a pre-prime Alvarez got schooled by Mayweather but we're talking about an ATG there so I don't think your argument that Canelo isn't that good to begin with really holds much water. He's not a small guy as we previously agreed and is the lineal middleweight champ. Cotto was also the lineal champ which made him fair game IMO. It's the Brook fight which is open to criticism IMO.

He could rematch Jacobs but prob feels he owes DJ pretty little after how long he strung him along the first time round and with no particualy great money on offer it is easy to see why it's not a priority. The Ward fight has been done to death too. In short, he felt he needed some acclimatising fights at 168 to get ready - JCC JR. Froch etc. - much like Ward did at 175 for Kovalev. Ward couldn't wait for that so the fight was never likely to happen which I agree was a real shame.
