Money better spent on a coach, otherwise you'll never learn anything useful just hitting the bag. Maybe useful enough against Joe Blow on the street but you'll get murdered against someone that knows what they are doing.

 

Didn't watch the video but smaller fighters can have more pop on the bags/mitts, doesn't mean more power. More accurate and skilled most definitely

True but that's not even what's going on here. MDW is just being childish and dishonest because he and the guy in the video (Galvatron) don't get along. The guy in the video clearly has power and hits much harder than him. He was just on here a while back raving about the power of another poster who doesn't hit nearly as hard. Silly stuff.

 

Sorry to interup the "mines bigger than yours" discussion but; shouldn't a heavy bag move slighly when you punch it? To "mimic" an opponent and force you to move your feet and set up your punches correctly? To learn to throw power punches on an imobile object one of thoose "wall pillows" surely would be better?

 

They have more pop, a more solid punch, and the bag reacts far more violently. They just plain hit harder, its not hard to tell who has more power on the bag. Galvatron simply tries to muscle his punch, that completely takes the power off of it and makes it a push. He needs to shorten them up.

Its not even comparable how lighter of a puncher Galvatron is than the guy I'm used to train alongside.

He just doesn't hit very hard... Sorry to burst your bubble but that's the fact of the matter. His bag work is low quality, you clearly have no real experience in boxing if you are awestruck by his work. Its not the fact that I don't like him (actually I find his posts entertaining), its the fact that he blatantly lied for a year straight about how he was some amazing mma fighter who hits harder than super heavyweights. He literally said he knocks out Klitschko sparring partners, his uncle trained Bowe, his Dad is a world renowned Judo champion, he trained with Lennox Lewis whenever he was in the Poconos, etc. The list is endless. It was the tipping point when he posted this garbage work. The other forum he is on completely wrecked him for it.

Just to give you an insight on this guy's character I'll quote what he said to an amateur boxing trainer who works with kids and up and coming fighters. Btw he goes by "Juggernaut666" just so you know.

No idea what he's doing on this subforum, when the extent of his training has been paid-for pad work, AKA the Instagram Model special.

He keeps talking about how good he is, and how much of an expert he is, but still hasn't posted footage of himself, despite saying he would like 10 times.
It's 2017. It's harder to come up with excuses, then it is to actually set the camera against the wall and tap 'record'.
You can literally do it in 10 minutes tops.
I bet he filmed himself, compared it to other footage on this forum, and realized it was a really bad look.

By not posting it, he can continue manipulating people into thinking he is a voice worth listening to. *shrug*
