The problem is Ward's first win over Kovalev wasn't conclusive or convincing at all. The 2nd win he was losing on the scorecards and won by a low blow. Again, not a conclusive victory. The P4P #1 fighter should be winning fights with zero doubt involved. Ward hasn't been doing that.

It might depend on how he looks while beating him. He'd have to put on a great performance to be number 1. Ward ahead of him makes sense.

Yeah Skill wise Loma is probably #1. But I'm trying to look at skill and resume.

No but it does make him 'the man' at MW tho doesn't it?

Kovalev! LOL You mean that 'kan Krusher guy' who you said this about (just a reminder folks):

GGG fighting the lineal champion and someone with a better resume. Your words. Ward fighting a tomato can krusher. Your words. Kovalev is not the man at 175. Your words. Paper titlist. Your words. Geriatric Hopkins. Your words.

Now you're a fan then? Loooll Who's fighting for 'lineal' again? Didn't you say 'lineal' is 'the man'? So GGG becomes 'the man' if he wins then?

He has an L on his record. His credentials are light years behind Ward's. Anyone that doesn't have Ward as the undisputed pfp#1 has an agenda.

Hey bet welcher why don't you man up for once in your life and head to that other thread and answer that question I said you would chicken out on. You know you can't answer it, that would require a showing of balls, which we all know you don't have since you started posting again after losing a ban bet.

Yeah, you can't spend years bashing Kovalev as a Can Crusher than try to claim getting out boxed by the Can Crusher makes you P4P #1.

No logic to this guy, injecting estrogen with dirty needles will do that.

Ward hasn't done nothing in half a decade except manage two controversial wins the majority of the boxing world find to be bogus. Fights in which both men look to already be in serious physical decline. There's a reason Kovalev and Ward are leaving Light Heavy while the getting's good.

Lomachenko is coming off dominating wins over Walters, Sosa, and Martinez in which he looked all time great phenomenal. I can see an argument for Loma rating higher, he looks prime and untouchable.

Alvarez does have a better resume than the TOMATO KAN Krusher. However, the point still stands, KANvolev is more proven @ 175 than Alvarez is @ 160.

In the last half decade, Lomachenko has taken an L against Solido. Walters, Sosa and Martinez are not in the same ball park as Barrera and Kovalev. Kovalev was top 3 when he fought Ward. We won't be having this conversation if he had beat Ward. You guys were ready to crown his pfp number 1 had he beat Ward.

The general consensus on this forum was that whoever won Ward-Kovalev will be the undisputed pfp number 1 remember. HBO, the press and the fans, including many on this forum said that Ward-Kovalev was the battle to determine who was the best fighter in the world. Ward threw a wrench on your fantasy now you can't accept the result.

The rematch was promoted as "No excuses". Remember that before you start complaining about "controversial".

37 fights 35 years old, best win Danny Jacobs, You don't go from that to p4p#1 with one win over canelo.

Would Danny Jacobs have been p4p#1 if he had got that decision over ggg? lmao hell no.

Would Chavez JR be p4p#1 if he had beat canleo? lmao hell no.

Its a huge win for either of them, but its not a p4p#1 spot fight.
