I disagree as I personally think Willie can box his ears off but he needs at least ONE solid 10-8 round to bag this bro
He has a very bad habit of fighting to his opponents level so will struggle against world class operators, contradicted yourself in the same sentence.
It is an interesting fight, I cannot see Monroe being able to be more aggressive than Eubanks Jnr but he is a better boxer so it should be an interesting fight...Winner to fight Lemmy!
Winning narrowly on the cards in every fight that's gone the distance in the last 4 years. So yeah he struggles. Due to his own arrogance or not, it's def a problem
I like these chess matches but I agree I think they should match both fighters differently.. This is matador vs matador
Billy Joe Saunders wins this in style and by late stoppage, Willie is not and never will be on Saunders level, either it'll be a chess match with a KD or 2 of Monroe a la Saunders-Lee, or BJS will get aggressive like he did with Hall and Pryce and walk him down and beat him up. There'll be no need for a robbery, so it shouldn't even be suggested. This isn't some aggressive ambush fighter like CEJ or pressure fighter like Akavov we're talking about, Monroe chose to engage with GGG because he had to, because the outboxing him off the backfoot strategy failed miserably in the first.
I don't rate BJS at all. This will probably be a snoozefest but I'm really intrigued to see how this plays out. Probably a razor close fight.
That would be nice... Saunders is talented as hell, it's really frustrating to see him sleepwalk through fights all the time.
not sure if this contradicts you description above, but it seemed to me that GGG convinced Willie to engage by dropping his hands; I don't recall Willie throwing a single left hand before GGG began doing that. GGG didn't drop his hands in a showboat sort of way--ie, with his gloves below his waist, and his chin towards his opponent--he just moved his guard down about 10 cm.
