Title above, source the local news

    "
THE World Boxing Organisation will re-score the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn welterweight title fight because of the contentious unanimous decision awarded to the Australian challenger, but there is no plan to change the result.

The WBO was responding to a Philippines government department’s request to review the fight after Pacquiao said the decision against him Sunday was unfair.

The Philippines Games and Amusements Board (GAB) said it based the request on protecting boxing’s integrity, citing possible miscalls by the referee and judges. But the WBO reiterated its only hope of revoking the fight judges’ decision rests on proving fraud in match officiating.

“I would be very grateful if the GAB can provide any evidence indicating fraud or violation of law,” WBO President Francisco Valcarcel said in a letter to the GAB dated Thursday.

"The purpose of this review is to be able to give the fans certainty of who was the winner of the bout, even though we do not have the power to reverse the decision of the judges.”

Valcarcel said five anonymous judges will review the bout, assigning their own scores to rounds. “Then, we will tabulate the results to ascertain clearly which rounds each fighter won using an average scale based on 60, 80 and 100 per cent,” Valcarcel said. “This means that three of the five officials have to agree to determine which fighter won the round.”

It will be a landslide for Pac win. Some people just don't know how to score

Regardless the fight won't change who won or not, unless it's proven a judge was paid off. It's just a gimmicky thing. Waste of time TBH

This is complete ****ing bull****, it devalues the actual robberies like Murata-N'Dam, they're giving into public opinion of whining casuals and the bellyaching of Roach and Pac, who were well aware of the fact that they'd obviously performed poorly in the match in the immediate aftermath.

CST, I question your judging skill twice now. First is Gonzales -rungvisai and now Pac-horn

Dude this pisses me the fk off. A fight that was close and could have gone has a chance of being reversed, but a fight where Murata COMPLETELY and utterly dominated N'dam in a non-competitive fight isn't? But I seriously doubt it gets reversed. Bob ****ing Arum himself said it was a fight that could have gone either way.

I don't think it will be reversed. But I honestly think Pac won on the card easily.
    The figth itself wasn't.

My bad. Should have read the OP to it's entirety.

"The purpose of this review is to be able to give the fans certainty of who was the winner of the bout, even though we do not have the power to reverse the decision of the judges.”

So it's not getting reversed. Don't really care then. Not that big of a deal.

If they are not going to change the result then what is the point?

Oh well, can't please everyone all the time, at least I was on the side of the judges, who had zero incentive to hand the belts over to two guys who were brought in to lose, who both worked for **** poor promotions that had zero cashflow to influence the judges. Both were ridiculously close matches with a ton of back and forth rounds, Manny and Roman backers at best should at least admit the matches should have been draws and not flat out wins, but to out and out argue like they were obvious wins and that people who scored the matches for Horn and SSR are biased or DKSAB are being intellectually dishonest IMO.

How did he win on the cards easily? I myself score CLEAN effective punching is the #1 criterion and Pac did score the "cleaner" shots. I just can't score a volume of non-clean punches over 1 clean punch though. It was a close fight that could have gone either way. I might have to re-watch it though, but that's the feeling I got when I watched the fight. When the fight ended I honestly did not know who won.
