joes "slickness" was about being southpaw against guys who had no clue how to fight one. This would not constitute an advantage over fighters such as Ward, Froch etc.
Conveniently leaving out the fact that he himself had been fighting professionally for well over a decade at that point, and is only a few years younger than Jones. Classic Dinovelvet.
Joe would make Ward look silly. not crazy talk just fact. Too fast, too fluid, too good. In WWE Ward would have the advantage. In boxing, no.

Yep.....Ward would "look silly." By "look silly" I simply mean he would have his cheating ass handed to him.
Barely ..by the skin of his teeth . Taylor who was a very poor mans Ward beat him way more decisively. Then he got battered by Kovalev . Then Ward beat Kovalev twice. Ward would have mopped the floor with old Hopkins as he would have done with Calzaghe.
briefly yes, he unified outstandingly, albiet against weak world class opps. but the elites crushed him. Basically it was another proof of Calzaghe barely managing to beat world class opposition. Joe was world class, but not elite like ward, froch etc.
No elites crushed him in the years before Joe, who was at least as past it as Hopkins was. I love Froch but you must be off your rocker to be calling him 'elite' over Calzaghe.
