Mcvey posted the rd by rd punches landed. Based upon that, the fight was utterly one sided until the 17 where it was even for 2 rds then by the 19th Jeffries took control.

How lame! That report has Corbett scoring two knockdowns. Pay no attention to it at all. Better round by round reports tell of Jeffries landing a lot more than this " punch stat " guy gives credit for. Whoever created this would make a fine judge for modern Olympic boxing...

But in the end, Jeffries Ko'd Corbett twice, toying with him in the second match when his skills were at their peak.

That newspaper also says that Corbett made Jeffries look like a "lumbering amateur".

    Dago,

Do you consider Jeffries an ATG? If so, tell me who is at heavyweight in your book.

Your a bigot. It's in the press in print where Jeffries mentioned Jack Johnson as a possible next opponent.

Anybody can buy the book, and anybody can read it.

In that sense I have provided my sources.

No, I do not consider Jeffries an atg because I don't think he would be at or near the top in every era (my definition of all time great).

Dago: Ok, I don't know how you guys don't understand this. You can't just go and say "Well Pollack used multiple ringside accounts" without providing the evidence. You can tell me all day long about it but without the actual newspaper account linked, like I did for my sources, it will hold zero weight.

    Dago,

The book is based on next day local newspaper accounts, comparing and contrasting their descriptions and analysis in order to provide an authentic view of how heavyweight boxing was perceived at the time. The use of local primary sources gives readers a rare opportunity to relive Jeffries' career as if they were reading about it at the time he was fighting

List them for me. Your ATG's at heavyweight. I'm curious to how you see things.

The 19th was the round before which his manager had kicked Ryan out of the corner and told Jeffries he had to go for the ko or he would lose his title.

What's your take on the passages which say Corbett ko'd Jeffries twice in training?
You dismissed the positive pieces Pollack wrote about Johnson, saying he was biased!lol
You need to read what Pollack wrote about the Jeffries v Everett and Goddard fights, where he says both of them quit without taking any punishment, because the other day you were saying Jeffries hospitalized one and made the other bedridden for weeks! DIDN'T HAPPEN!
Just as Jeffries breaking Corbett, and Fitzsimmons ribs.DIDN'T HAPPEN!
Just as Jeffries breaking Sharkey's nose.DIDN'T HAPPEN!
Pollack says Sharkey fought the last few rounds against Jeffries in their second fight with a dislocated right arm and it was confirmed by a doctor after the fight! Just As Sharkey had just ONE rib fractured in the fight NOT THREE!

The book even states which rib! Any further comment on your blatant lies Rain Man?

You're just telling me of the existence of sources but you aren't showing me the sources themselves.
