Bellew seems to think he's a beast after his win over Haye. I think Ward should fight him for the WBC CW strap. Can Bellew's size and strength advantage overcome the big gulf in skill?
Sort of funny how Wards two controversial wins gave him the reputation of being a cheating fighter that relies on Judges and officials to give him that W. Primo Carnera anyone?
It's definitely a winnable fight for Bellew. Bellew has looked very strong at cruiserweight and his size, power and jab will cause Ward alot of problems. Bellew is a very live dog.
Briedis got that belt now afaik,Ward is not going to travel to the UK anyway.Otherwise he beats Bellew easily,Bellew couldnt outbox or hurt Cleverly at 175 and later on @ cruiser, hes average at best.
How would this even get made? Logically you could fill a stadium in the U.K. but Ward would hold up the negotiations demanding they fight in a half empty basketball arena in N. California replete with his officials.
I wouldn't be surprised if somehow through behind the scenes corruption that they strip Briedis and make this for the full title.. The Ward fanboys on here wouldn't question it one bit. I agree Ward beats Bellew at any weight... Be it LHW, CW or HW. Bellew is not an elite fighter, never is and never will be.
Lucky for the other cruiserweights Bellew is looking at Ward and not the WBSS tournament...! But then again he will have a field day either way..
That could very well be the technicality they use to strip Briedis and make Ward/Bellew for the WBC title. It honestly wouldn't even be remotely shocking.
