I'm sure you all remember when news broke of the sad tragic events concerning Nick Blackwell being put into a second induced coma after deciding to spar against his doctors orders. There was sheer uproar amongst those who felt Hasab Karardi were responsible for placing Nick Blackwell into such a precarious position once again. There were calls for the police to get involved in order for Mr Karadi to be charged for manslaughter.

There were on many on here condemning this man along with the coach in the gym, placing the blame at their feet. Well you should hang your heads in shame. For I told many on here that there wasn't a chance that the guy even know who Blackwell was, considering he can barely speak fluent English. I myself was then attacked whilst those began pretending as if Blackwell was a household name and were adamant that there was not a shred of doubt that the sparring partner would have known.

This innocent young man has now lost money, had his career derailed and been a victim of death threats along with having to serve a 6 month suspensions due to a malicious witch hunt against his name.

There is no question, that he deserves an earnest apology.

He can speak English so that's not an excuse

However I'm sure he didn't realise what he was he was doing sparring Blackwell.

As a boxer you spar lots of random people all the time

He's hardly going to do an interview saying he knew exactly who Nick Blackwell was is he...

He more than likely didn't know what would happen when they sparred, but I don't believe he didn't know who Nick was, it was national news, people who dont know anything at all about boxing know who Nick Blackwell is.

Yeah, I remember the people pretending Nick Blackwell was a household name.

The fault obviously lies with Blackwell and whoever runs the gym/ring.

You assume everyone follows the news.
I didn't even know about that tower block burning down until 3 days later, and I live in London.

Oh right, so a person new to the country is going to ardently following the news?

I don't know what world you live, but the average man on the street doesn't have any idea who Nick Blackwell is. Even casuals wouldn't have a clue who you were talking about simply because he is a non entity within the boxing world. You'd probably find 1 in 100 persons, who would know who he was if you went around asking random people off the street.

It's only the hardcore and british fans who follow domestic boxing who have any idea who he is and some of may have come across the story at the time of the event, though they have probably now forgotten who he is.

The fact is Karardi was in the gym to spareand he didn't care who he was fighting. His only desire was to prove himself.

There's only 1 person to blame for this ultimately and that's Nick Blackwell. Not the 21 year old trainer, and not this geezer in the interview. It's a very sad story, and I feel for the family but the Drs would have been extremely clear about the situation Nick was facing going forward. The incident didn't even take place that long after the original injury which makes
    It even worse for me.

Karkardi is not an average man on the street he has been a professional boxer in the UK since 2013 and the people running the gym would surely have known who Nick Blackwell was. He was British middleweight champion. Your suggesting all the people in the gym are stupid and have no interest in British domestic boxing. He would be instantly recognisable to most people training in that gym. The same way Buglioni, Skeete, Nurse, Fielding etc would be.

You assume that every professional boxer knows every other professional boxer. That is not how things work. Fighters are more concerned with their own progression and those who are beside them in the rankings.

Especially men who come from overseas who can barely speak English.

There are elite level boxers who have never heard of their fellow boxers. I doubt Arthur Abraham has ever heard of someone like Jamie Cox even though they are in the same division and share the same profession. Your argument is nonsense and is a desperate attempt to lay blame at anyone other than Nick Blackwell for his own foolish actions.

Not trying to blame anyone but most people who use boxing gyms in the UK will know the British champions. Were talking about British fighters in British gyms. If you had spent any time inside a British you would know how knowledgeable the trainers and boxers from grass roots through to pro level.

Karkadi speaks good English and has held a license since 2012. He has been punished for his part and that should be the end of it.

The coaches and owners would may well have been aware but you can't seriously believe that every fighter who goes there to train knows or cares who the British Champions are.

I've been to my fair share of gyms where there are amateur and semi pro's training, not all of them faithfully follow who are the top dogs in division domestically.

The man even said he goes to spar with no interest who he is up against, yet we should think that he is lying.

He now speaks decent broken English.

And this is the problem, he was punished for simply deciding to spar in the wrong place at the wrong time. It could have been anyone from that gym that day when Blackwell decided it was a good idea to fight just a few months after coming out of a coma. A scapegoat was needed for Blackwell's actions and this is very sad. Two careers along with their reputations ruined because of one man's stupidty

It is absolutely madness attempting to justify a man getting suspended and his whole career stopped because someone decided to enter the ring with a serious injury that he chose not to disclose to the other fighter.

According to his father the doctors are unsure if he is expected to make a full recovery. He is in rehabilitation trying to learn to walk and talk again and apparently there has been some progress in that area.

Sadly, when your skull is opened up for invasive surgery on the brain after being in a coma, the chances of a full recovery are slim.

Such a sad, sad state of affairs. A real mess. Agree with Dragon Punch here to some extent - I was shocked to have read the story when it came out in the first instance.

    Madness.

    LOL WOW!

Have you decided to make a positive Nick Blackwell thread after I've outed your previous accounts & constant Blackwell bashing?

Anyone who's been here long enough will know the OP is formerly Primal Pledge & Double Edge. He used to lambast poor Nick Blackwell daily on here with some sickening posts.

    Embarrassing.
