evidence for the boxing organisations not recognising WBO up till that time? Why would you need evidence for something that happened in your recent lifetime? Or are you a millenial?
So we can conclude that once again I am correct, that's good you are finally coming to terms with the facts that at the time Froch wasn't even well known in BRITAIN.
Here's an example of how Calzaghe-Hopkins differed from what Calzaghe-Ward would look like: http://www.ocregister.com/2008/04/19/calzaghe-squeaks-out-split-decision-over-hopkins/ This content is protected Calzaghe had to respect Hopkins' power. As he had to respect Kessler's power. Against Ward, Calzaghe would have zero respect for his opponent's power. And that means slap-slap-slap-slap for 12 in-your-face rounds with Joe just taking it to Ward via faster hands, higher workrate and longer reach. Seriously, it could be like Calzaghe-Lacy. Ward would probably dip into his rough-house tactics if things started to go that way, but that doesn't mean he'd be able to prevent Lacy 2 from happening. As stated before, wrong match-up for Ward. He doesn't possess the physical qualities necessary to defeat Calzaghe, or even really compete with him.
amazing that by proving that I am right, you have pretended that you won the argument. You are impressive in the kook stakes.
hopkins wasnt a power puncher. he didnt drop people in his 40s. just joe. joe had a good chin and he recovered well against bernie albeit by cheating to stop himself getting koed, but it wasnt granite.
Cheeeet , thats all you had to say fool. Now everybody knows you're just a full blown Ward hater more than you are a Calzaghe fan. Is this the same Lacy who got dominated 12-0 by a shot Taylor in between his loses to Pavlik and Froch? The same Lacy who was given a schooling by a shot to pieces Roy Jones as he spoke to people in the audience? Ward was only as good as that guy???
I iddnt notice how bad that was. NewOrder, you are now on ignore for tainting the reputation of one of my favourite bands.
So we admit that I'm correct and you have suffered from centuries of brother sister love......you know your dad's your mum, your mum's your dad.....
thanks for gaining so much joy in proclaiming that I was right. This is awesome. I dont need to reply anymore, you are bigging me up for me.
Hopkins was an excellent puncher when needed. Certainly and clearly above Ward in that regard. He began his career at 35-2-1-1 with 27 stoppage wins for a 69% KO rate. He could hit. Joe had a great chin. He had the kind of chin that let him fight recklessly. He would just wade in and see what you have with little regard because he knew he could take it. His chin wasn't on the level of a Golovkin or Vitali, but he had a great beard. Still, Hopkins hit Joe well and on the button as Joe got a bit eager, I think it was. Joe was down 4 times in his career: Mitchell Salem Hopkins Jones Of those 4 fights when Joe was knocked down, only one ended up really competitive. And that was the Hopkins fight.
why do you need evidence of a fact that you know? The only way you cannot know that solo wbo gained full recognition in 2004 is if you were born around 2000 and thus grew up with the wbo as recognised. Thanks for letting us know your age, then?
LOL Well don't all you do is prove my supremacy over you....not that you matter to the forum as a whole.
