Good. Please place me on ignore. I was just going to tell you that I am about finished responding to you here. This is the same kind of meaningless drivel you seem to revel in posting within various threads. Your analysis is off-point, over and over again, and smacks of willful ignorance. It's often painful to have to respond to you. It's like talking to a child who is at the multiplication stage of mathematical learning when you, yourself, are in advanced calculus. It's a drain and frequently a waste of time.

Two critical factors in this bout:

    * Calzaghe's first bout at 175 pounds. He was fighting the naturally larger man and a guy who was accustomed to the extra weight

    * Calzaghe often got caught when he would get reckless or over-eager. That is, it's not a surprise that Hopkins "only" dropped Calzaghe later in Hopkins' career. That has more to do with Calzaghe than Hopkins, because this is how Joe fought

Again, as stated above, Joe fought this way because he could. The only two other times he had ever been dropped he 1) TKO'd the guy in the same round and 2) easily defeated his opponent including dropping him later in the bout.

Thus, Calzaghe didn't fear getting dropped and had no reason to fear it. Hence, he fought recklessly (little concern with defense) at times because he could. And that recklessness/eagerness is what seemed to get him in trouble against Hopkins, the naturally larger man, who can punch, and in Calzaghe's first fight at a higher weight class.

    It's a fantasy.

Anybody who thinks it would have been an easy win for either guy needs to wise up.

Reid would always have given Joe a tough fight.

Kessler is a very good fighter but he's not elite.

Bernard didn't possess power at LHW, and the power didn't deter Joe or trouble him apart from the early knockdown. Bernard's technical ability caused Joe lots of problems, and he scraped over the line based upon his superior level of fitness. That 43 old version of Bernard was no better than Andre Ward. Yet you want us to believe that Joe would have beaten him like he was a nobody? Get real.

You'd have been looking at a genuine 50/50 fight, with an intriguing clash of styles.

    You keep proving yourself incorrect.

You are as popular as a prossie with the clap, but you are more than welcome to keep embarrassing yourself.

Let's look at Reid for a moment. He possessed more power than Andre, but other than that, Andre is obviously on another level.

Reid was a good fighter, but he was limited.

Are you saying that if Joe hadn't have injured his hand, he'd have beaten Reid with absolute ease?

Not talking about the odd round, Kovalev is stamina away from dominating to a wide, wide UD against Ward in that first fight. Gassed in the second fight too.

Not taking anything away from Ward, obviously he made him gas, but he couldn't do that to Calzaghe.
