The 8 or 10 million dollar offers are irrelevant now.

Golovkin despite his inability to draw flies to **** as far as PPV goes opted to NOT fight Canelo unless he got a Mega-Payday of 15 million dollars plus PPV upside, despite his biggest payday being 5 million with ZERO PPV Upside.

In contrast, Canelo despite his stature was willing to take 5 million against Cotto's 26 million dollar payday.

The level of confidence from each fighter.

    Canelo by KO 9

No one called for a Cotto-Canelo fight... not even when Cotto had the lineal belt by beating a shot, one-legged Sergio.

However, EVERYONE was calling for a Golovkin fight. HUGE, HUGE, HUGE DIFFERENCE in the marketability and attraction of the fight.

Basically, Golovkin had the leverage that didn't exist w/ Canelo.

Cotto is a lot more popular than GGG here in the states. Has sold more tickets and a lot more PPVs than Golovkin. In fact, Cotto was the 3rd highest PPV during Mayweather's era.

As for the fans not calling for Cotto-Canelo... You're nothing more than a troll. Anyone with half a brain and who followed boxing in 2012-2014 knows that this was fight we all wanted for Cotto. In fact in 2013 Cotto declined a 10 million dollar offer to fight Canelo.

    "No one called a Cotto-Canelo fight".........really?

Since you obviously know nothing about this, I'll clue you in on something; Cotto's main goal in beating Martinez was to ensure that he would get the lion's share when he faced Canelo.

LOL. These claims about Cotto/Canelo and nobody wanting it are too much. But the funny part is. Nobody would really care about a Canelo/GGG fight either if HBO and ESPN didnt cram it down peoples throats. They need a big fight. Take a look at the numbers Kova Ward did and that was as good of a fight as you could make in boxing. Two really good fighters and a 50/50 matchup.

HBO boxing is dying and they need something big. Which is why theyve been paying Golovkin to fight guys that they wouldnt approve for anything else for the last 4 years. Canelo has 0 wins against any ranked MWs. Nobody would care for that fight either if HBO didnt shove Golovkin down everyones throat.

No one demanded the Cotto fight. And it certainly was never a heated topic of discussion.

GGG/Ward at 168 was totally feasible last year. Ward tried to get it in motion late in 2015. Notice nobody from HBO or ESPN put any pressure on Golovkin to make it or leaned on him to make it?

    Wonder why?

It tells me they held out for a better deal than the flat $10 mil that was offers.

What's wrong with that? I read on here all the time about boxers making business decisions..that it's prize fighting after all. Canelo is still getting the lions share and GGG is making a career high payday in a fight everyone wants to see.

Reverse the argument, It took 50 mill payday and 15 months of delay for Canelo to consider stepping in the ring with the GGG.

They begrudge GGG everything! It is not sick enough that Cucknelo's cuck army will have every A side advantage for their cuck hero including PED testing, ref and judges they also want him to have all the money for himself.

It is such a disturbing personality cult.

Personally I am glad GGG told that coked up tranny to shove his insulting flat fee and is at least making some good money considering how stacked the deck will be against him.

The level of confidence was shown after Canelo won the belt from Cotto and relinquished it straight away. 2 below average performances from GGG and who pops up?????? Canelo with Oscar and a great deal on the table...As for drawing flies to ****...If ggg or loma were British or American they would be huge stars, nothing to do with their styles or attitude to not taking fights. They are outsiders and have an up hill battle trying to get the pay days their talents deserve....

Youre entitled to stick to your narrative if it suits you.

Anyone who is serious about the sport understands that the fight was always going to be made, and so it has.

Golovkin would not sign to fight Canelo unless he got the perfect retirement pavkage, doesnt sound very confident imo.

As far as being foreigners.. Please. Canelo talks only spanish 95% of the time, he doesnt pander to Americans or any specific market, and is from a country conflicted with America.

Manny Pacquiao is from the Philippines FFs.

Not sure why your excusing GGGs ability to attract Customers. Casuals are ignorant but not that dumb. They can look up fight records online like the rest of us.
