Golovkin-Canelo Is SOLD OUT.

Golovkin was offered 10m flat a year before the fight was supposed to take place and he's the bad guy because he used his time up until the contract signing to negotiate a better deal? What a joke.

 

15 million plus PPV is a high price to demand, especially when your biggest purse was 4 million british pounds.

Canelo is unique in that he will do whatever it takes to get an opponent in the ring. Anyone else would probably not be as patient with Golovkin's demands.

 

Again..so what..GGG negotiated for the best deal he could get. The people here who celebrate and hoot and holler about prize fighting and business decisions should be happy about it.

GGG was offered 10 mil and walked away with 15 + ppv. That's good business from any perspective.

It also puts him in a better position should he win and Canelo decides to exercise his rematch clause.

This fight should have taken place after the Khan fight. But Canelo made the business decision to drop he belt and take 2 much easier fights.

Not as lame as claiming a fighter who put his career on a toll, who missed his only oppurtunity become undisputed just to get a certin fight was reluctant take that fight. Especially when The other fighter was The one who avoided The fight and delayed the fight For over a year in the past.

And not nearly as lame as lying and pulling non-existing offers out of your as to justify your mancrush vacating his title and pushing a fight back for over a year.

This is exactly what I want. I am rooting for GGG but if Canelo wins fair and square I will have no problem, after all, I am more a fan of boxing than any one single boxer. I am getting tired of robberies in boxing.

 

TBH this is sold out because Canelo could fight a clown and still pull in 80% of every seat in the house. GGG has not had a great PPV record so I'm okay with giving Big Red credit for having more fans.
I'm just glad Canelo pushed Oscar to make this fight. I expect us to see GGG rocked a few times by them beautiful uppercuts from Big Red.

This is GGGs only shot at a bigmoney fight. Holding out for a better deal than the flat 10 mil was smart business by any measure.
