I think Smith might even beat Ward @ 168, stylistically Groves has a shot too! Ward can't punch like Froch and is not as tough IMO, he also doesn't put the pressure on like Froch. Groves was handling Froch much easier than Ward before both KO's Ward has never faced a bloke that is as physically imposing as Smith, who has such a huge size advantage over him like Smith (in the pro's that is). He's never faced a brutal body puncher like Smith, and he has never faced a guy as dominating on the inside as Smith. It would be a good scrap for sure and I would have Ward as a minor favourite at this stage.
Agree with James to some extent. Ward isn't gonna roll them over in a few rounds but would beat both clearly. I, like others, hope that CEJ turns up for the tournament. I think he needs to grow into the weight a bit (the fact he can still make 160 highlights that. But he tough and game and hopefully fighting these level of fighters will add a few wrinkles to his game. And Smith has a similar lack of experience against elite opposition should could be a very interesting fight.
Breakdown my points and tell me they are not true? I know you could make a very strong counter claim that Ward wins convincingly and I wont argue with it, I just think he wouldn't do it easily. My points are all valid though, they are all fair points.
I am genuinely starting to think you are one of Seniors love child's. You are exhibiting classic delusional thought usually associated with a Eubank.
He refused to fight Golovkin after running his mouth claiming he wanted the fight and that would have been for big money! Eubank will not have to fight Abraham as Abraham is finished, all he does is put his gloves in front of his face and follow his opponent around the ring. He has never been any good since he went from 160 to 168, he's too short and now he is too old....................the fight is over, why bother to have one.............
ggg has 3 of the 4 belts and has defended a world title 18 times Lomachenko is already 2 weight world champion after 9 fights.
I think this is an interesting point because of their checkered past with negotiations and the Eubanks idea that they're much bigger than they actually are. Sky would want Groves v Eubank on PPV 100% - Will the Eubanks agree to that on skys terms? Will BT go in for that fight on PPV? - You'd think both Sky and BT can blow ITV out the water on that one. If he ends up v Smith there is no way Eddie wouldn't put that on PPV.
I also thought this too. Eubank will pull out. If he does, screw him because im losing patience with the guy.
Jeez. After reading 'Will Eubank' I was worried another Eubank love child had come out of the woodwork.
You could be right, it's hard to second-guess the Eubanks. Sr is so bonkers it probably depends on what side of the bed he wakes up on. I don't think it's going to take much for them to pull out, especially if they come up against Smith or Groves and don't like the terms.
